"Okay." He finally agrees, and I smile.
"Good. Now, as for family tomorrow..."
"I'm not looking forward to it. Just being honest." He laughs and I can't help but laugh too.
"They'll love you."
I can't say I'm not nervous too, I haven't seen my family since...I think it was just a month or so before I ran into Nash all over again.
I missed my family so much, and I can't imagine how good it will feel to reconnect with all of them.
"So, have you packed?" I grin at him and his face says it all.
"Well, off we go then. Come on." I urge him, taking his arm.
We have a LOT of work to do
---
"No, I'm telling you, you're going to need plenty enough in case we stay a few extra days. We need to be prepared." I anxiously explain to Nash in hopes for him to listen to me.
"We don't need all of that stuff Gabby, I'm telling you!" Nash debated with me and I groan to myself.
"Am I going to have to pack for you?" I question him in irritation, while grabbing more boxers from his dressor, and throwing them at him.
"Hey, I folded those!" Nash grabs them from the floor and throws them on the bed.
"I'm telling you, bring both red and blue polo shirts, they both look good." I beg him and he rolls his eyes.
"Fine, geez. All that for two polo shirts." He sighs, neatly folding them and shoving them in his Nautica suitcase.
"Well, if you're going to be spending the rest of your life with me, under the same roof, for years to come...I'm sure there will be plenty more to come." I giggle, Nash grinning wildly.
"Can't wait." he replies, giving me a peck on the lips, making it impossible for me to not grin like a fool.
-----
I lean my head back onto the uncomfortable seat, waiting impatiently for a bottled water from the beach blonde flight attendent.
Nash takes my hand and I smile a little, looking down at our hands, examining the incredible diamond that wraps around my finger on a ring, a smile tugging at my lips.
I sit closest to the window, Nash to my left as I gaze out into the distance, peeking through the clouds as I examine the beautiful scenery.
This would be a new beginning for us, Nash and I. Together, when his head isn't to big for his body, he's the guy I feel in love with, the one I met what feels like years ago.
I still missed it, the days we used to have. At the lake together, having dinner at each other's houses, sneaking out at night to go to our spot, everything then felt even more perfect.
My heart sinks deep into my chest as I think about what happened, that last night we had together, intimately. I felt close to Nash, and I felt safe
with him. Then the truth came out.
He moves his face into the crook of my neck and I smile softly.
"What is it baby?" he whispers, almost inaudible.
