Lucy's POV

I am woken up by someone shaking me.

"Lucy... Wake up." Hayes says

"What?" I ask sitting up

"You need to go home. I'm grounded." He says

"Okay." I get up and hug him goodbye

I'm still half asleep. When I walk outside. I go back into my house and fall back asleep.

I wake up sweating and breathing really fast. I had a nightmare.

Hayes said that he hated me then beat me.

He wouldn't ever do that... Right?

I shake it off and go take a shower. I blow dry my hair then straighten it. I pull it into a high pony tail. I put on some leggings and a sweater.

Then I go downstairs for some lunch. I make myself a sandwich and get some apple juice.

No one was home so I invited Gabbi over.

When she arrives I greet her at the door.

"What do you wanna do today?" She asks

"Shopping." I say

"Good thing I bright money." She says "Do you wanna invite Hayes?"

"He's grounded." I say

"Oh. Well my dad just pulled up so let's go." She says heading out the door with me following behind

We got to the mall and got quite a lot of bags. As we were walking our of Wet Seal a girl around our age walked up to us.

"Are you Hayes Grier's girlfriend?" She asks me

"Yeah." I say

"You should back off him." She says in a mean tone

"Why? So you can date him? Just stick with trying to get him to follow you twitter." I say and give her a sassy hair flip while walking away

I hear her stomping in the other direction. "We should head home." Gabbi says

"Yeah. Call your dad."new drive home to find Megan standing at my front door.

"Megan?" I ask walking up to her cautiously

"Where is Hayes?" She asks obviously angry

"Why does that concern you?" Gabbi asks

"None of your business." She says

"If you would kindly move I would like to get into my house." I say sarcastically

"Not unless you tell me where Hayes is." She blocks the door

"Why don't you go over to his house?" I ask

" I already went there and no one answered." She says

I'm so annoyed with her right now.

I go to my backyard to get in that way. Gabbi follows.

"Pssst." We hear from the bushes

"Hayes?" I ask

"Shh. Be quiet." He says

"Come inside." I say and go in the back door

Hayes POV

I follow Lucy inside with Gabbi following.

"So why are you in my bushes?" Lucy asked me

"I'm hiding from Megan." I say

"Aren't you grounded?" Gabbi asks

"I can't stay in my room for that long. I needed to get out. And Megan kept throwing stuff at my window." I explain

I look towards their front door and Megan is still there.

"Why does she need you so badly?" Lucy asks me

"I'm wondering the same thing." I say

"There you are Hayes!" We hear from behind us

We all turn around and our jaws drop to the floor

"How did you get in my house?" Lucy yells

"The back door was unlocked. Why have you been hiding Hayes?" She asks glaring at Lucy

"She wasn't. I was hiding from you." I say

"Why won't your answer my texts or calls?" She asks getting angry

"Because I don't want to talk to you." I say

"Ugh!" She screams running out of the house

We all look at each other like 'what the heck'?

"So..." Gabbi says

This is really awkward.

"Are you home alone?" Lucy asks me

"Yeah. Everyone went to Nash's lax game." I say

"Let's watch a movie." Gabbi suggests

Lucy's POV

We needed up watching Grown Ups 2.

We all wanted to see it. I cuddled into Hayes and almost fell asleep but I was interrupted by someone ringing the doorbell over and over again.

"Ugh. People." I groan and answer it

"Yes Nash?" I ask when I open the door

"Is Hayes here?" He asks

"Uhhh..." I say until Hayes comes up next to me

"Yes I'm here." He says with confidence.

"Mom is gonna kill you. They all went out for ice cream but dropped me off first. You better get home now." Nahs says

"Okay. Coming." Hayes says then hugs me goodbye

"Bye. I'll see you tomorrow." Hayes says

Tomorrow? Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! How could I forget?

"Bye." I say and close the door
