Lucy's POV

Volleyball practice was good. We have our first game coming up soon. Hayes and I decided to walk home because it was nice out today.

We walk out the doors and here
"Hayes! Wait up!" It's Megan again

"Um hi." Hayes says looking down at the floor

"So since you won't ask me out I will. Let's go to the movies or something." She says winking

"No. I'm not interested in any of the movies." Hayes says still not looking at her

I'm still not bothered by her.

"I never said we would watch the movies." She says and made out with Hayes right in front of me

I get really angry this time. So I push her off of him

"Get off of him! He doesn't like you! Go back to your other 4 boyfriends!" I scream

She looks at me scared. I didn't know I had that in me.

Everyone is staring at us. I feel so embarrassed.

Then another boy come over to her, helps her up, and they go make out.

Man I hate her. She disgusts me.

Hayes just stares at me "that was a little harsh." He says

"You're taking her side!" I scream. Everyone looks again

Then I just run home ignoring Hayes.

In stead of going home I decided to go the park. I run into the woods and go to the lake. I sit down in front of it and cry.

I hear running behind me getting closer.

"Lucy... Why.... Did..." Hayes tried to say between gasps for air

"Hayes just to away!" I scream

And he walks away.

Then I hear more footsteps. I turn around to see Megan. With yet another boy

She comes and sits down next to me.

"What do you want?" I say not making eye contact.

"I wanted to say to back off of Hayes. He's mine now. He doesn't like you anymore. Bye." She says with a fake smile and goes back to walking...

I look at the boy and recognize him.

Hayes.

Hayes POV

Lucy keeps getting mad over Megan. Megan is my friend. I know she likes me. And since Lucy is mad and Megan wants me I thought why not.

We both went to the park looking for Lucy but she didn't want to see us so we needed up hanging out.

Megan is really nice once you get to know here. She is also the prettiest girl I've ever seen.

Megan and I were talking and I decided to ask her about her '4 boyfriends'

"So you know how Lucy said you had 4 boyfriends?" She nods

"Is that true?" I ask

It takes her a moment to reply

"No! I only like you, Hayes. She is just mad. I don't even know where that came from." Then she kissed me

Megan's POV

I really like Hayes. I mean I really like all my boyfriends. I'm glad I got Hayes away from Lucy though. I don't know why he even went out with her. She ugly.

Once Hayes and I were taking he asks me

"So you know how Lucy said you had 4 boyfriends?" I nod

"Is that true?" Hayes asks

I don't want to lie to him but I have to.

"No! I only like you, Hayes. She is just mad. I don't even know where that came from." Then I kissed him. It turned into a make out session.

Hayes is perfect.

After we pull away Hayes asks to go back to his place. I agree.

Hayes POV

Megan just makes my mind go out if control. Once she has you she manipulates your mind to focus on her. We needed up making out. I knew it was wrong but I didn't think of Lucy once when Megan and I were together.

With out thinking I ask "do you wanna go back to my place?"

"Yeah!" She says

Once we get there Nash pulls me aside

"Lucy is here Hayes. Why did you bring her here!" Nash whispers

"I don't know. Lucy and I are fighting and Megan... She's just perfect." I say

Why did I just say that?

"So what do you went me to tell Lucy?" He asks

"Tell her to go home and get over me." I say. Why am I saying these things?

Lucy's POV

I was eavesdropping in Nash and Hayes conversation. Hayes really doesn't like me anymore. When I hear Nash coming I slide down the wall and cry.

"You herd didn't you?"Nash asks sitting down next to me

I cry even more.

"It will be okay. You need to move on. Hayes is a jerk." He says putting his arm around me

"Look me and my friends are going to go hang out. Do you wanna come? Get your mind off of things?" He asks

I nod and we get to and leave
