Thanks for making me smile today, I needed it.
I thought I had no more words
I thought I had nothing left to write
But then I met an old friend
Who brought me back to the light
We talked for an hour
About things that didn't matter
Things deep in our hearts
And things just below the surface
Now I think I'll be ok
But only for the time being
She put a few pieces of my heart
Back in their rightful place
She didn't even know she was helping
But she helped me all the same
And I thank you for that
I was broken down
And she had the pieces I needed
As we talked aimlessly
I started to go back together
I cannot be healed in a night
But the process can start
So I thank you soulmate
For putting back together my heart.
