Just a poem of feeling reeling through an unkempt mind.

It's a bit unsettling
Nothing else can be on your mind
Just that one person
Consuming all of your time
They might not even like you
But what does that matter?
You can still think of them right?
Yes
And deal with the pain that comes with it
The ache that will be ever present in your chest
Ripping a hole where your heart should be
Hoping one day they'll take notice
See what they've been missing
But what have they been missing exactly?
Just you? Just the two of you?
Just the two of you together?
And here you are
Just stuck with that idea.
When they know about it
Does it make you feel better?
Does it make the pain dissipate?
For a little while
But then it comes back
Maybe just not as strong.
When you see them
You miss the touch you never had?
The way their hand never rested perfectly with yours?
Is this what it is?
Is this the real feeling?
Probably not
Probably just unfulfilled hormones wanting what they can't have
Wanting the knowledge of someone feeling it too.
Wanting
Is that what we're good for?
Wanting what we want
Wanting what we don't have
Wanting a feeling
Wanting a sensation
Wanting
Want.
Waiting
Another thing we get good at
Waiting for it
Waiting for what we want
Waiting for the sensation
Waiting for the feeling.
Wanting the waiting to be over?
You deny it
A lot of people deny it
That feeling of it that we wanted so bad
Waiting for it for so long
Why deny it?
We all feel it
Don't we?
Don't even tell me if you don't
Let me live my lie
The lie that I'm not different
I'm just the same as everyone else
Everyone feels this
Right?
I'm normal,
Right?
