"When we first found him, he was broken, to put it lightly. He was so scared and mentally lost that when we started taking care of him we automatically grew a protective bond over him. We're almost like a family."

Chris's eyes grow wide and water as I tell him how badly Miles was injured when we found him and how scared he was to even look at us. His eyes drift to Eddie's sleeping form over on the other side of the room and seems to look at him differently.

Chris didn't look at him blankly anymore. His eyes were now filled with an all new appreciation.

I give him one last grin before making my way over to the next room where I would be stay for the night, It's cold dark interior not very welcoming. I take in a deep breath as I wander around the room trying to find a place to sleep when I come up to a couch.

It's springs squeak as I sit down on them and lay back. All the while the dust in the room is attacking my nose. Man, I just hope this night passes fast. I just want to be in Eddie's arms again.

I let out another shaky breath as I try and get comfy. No matter how a turned, I could get comfy! Is cushions were covered in dust and seemed to lack any sort of padding. Of course.

Even with my tiny body, I'm still scrunched up on the couch. I close my eyes in a desperate attempt to sleep, and to my surprise it works. With my lack of sleep lately I immediately begin to drift off. It wasn't long before the darkness takes over and the images begin.

My heavy breathing resounds in the vast empty space around me. It was like I was floating in nothing. Just plain darkness. Its empty space making my ears ring louder with every passing moment.

Soon the ringing turned to screams as pain shoots through my body. The pain was so intense that it was like I was being torn apart. I look down at my body to see... well nothing. There is nothing there where my body should be. Just a large metallic brown spot on an invisible ground.

The stench soon reached my nose before the images started. The smell of burning flesh made my senses go on high alert and I wanted to vomit, but the flashing images of burning people and torn up corpses kept me frozen in place.

The screams of each person getting louder and louder as the images grow worse. Each one was worse than the last. Their very image was being burned into my mind with each passing second.

Then the blinding pain going through my body turned into a sweating heat, then scorching. It was like I was on fire myself. With each second I can smell my burning flesh and hear my own screams, but I can't see myself. It was pure torture.

I didn't know if it was real. It all seemed so real! The pain only intensified when the brown spot below sprouted into a deep shade of red. Is size growing larger and larger as it's metalic smell grows stronger.

It wasn't until I saw my own burned up body coming into shade from it that I realized it was blood. My blood.

I could help but scream in pain as the flames rose around me and scorched my skin. I could feel it begin to melt off as it cooked me alive.

I wake up screaming at the top of my lungs, the pain still lingering on my skin as the images flash in front of my eyes. The lightning was showing through the window cause the images to grow worse.

I feel the hot tears stream down my face as I scramble to the floor, trying to run to safety. They were just too horrible! My body hurt and my tears were stinging my face. It was all too much!

I scream in horror as three large creatures burst into the room, there dark skin seeming gooey and sticky as it stuck to the floor with every step they took. I try and scramble away as two of them come running towards me as the other goes for the hole in the wall.

I scream out as their slimy arms wrap around me and pulls me in. It feels so disgusting! I can feel the tears turn to sobs as the thing starts growling in my ear. I didn't want to die!

I feel my body go limp in its grasp as something familiar comes from it's mouth. If I heard correctly it said, "darling." Wait... Did it actually say words? No, that can't be. Then why hadn't it hurt me already?

I feel my body begin to shake as everything around me begin to fade back into the room I fell asleep in. The monsters slowly faded like an image as Eddie and Miles replaced them. In the corner of the room I see Chris holding a towel over the window, blocking the flashing lights.

So, it was all a dream? I feel the tears slowly stop as the strong arms around me tighten and I feel Eddie's warm breath against my neck.

"It's alright Darling. You're going to be okay. You're never going to have to do that again, I promise." I feel his hands shaking as they run through my hair and he cradles my head against his chest.

    "I'm so sorry."
