CAM
I was talking to a friend of Demi's when she pointed in Demi and Casper's direction. I turned, and saw them talking. Next thing I know, Demi screams, "LEGGO!", and takes off for the stage. Casper and I glanced at each other and took off after her. I stopped right in front of the stage before I ran into Demi.
"Boo," I whispered in her ear.
"AHHHHHHH!! Don't do that!" she screamed. Then Casper crept up.
"Hey Demi," he said. She screamed again.
"Seriously! The two of you always do that!" Casper and I ran onto the stage, and the crowd erupted into cheers. I grabbed a mic and shouted.
"Hello everybody! How are you tonight?!" After everyone screamed louder, I shouted again, "Alright, so, this performance of ours is dedicated to my best friend and Casper's girlfriend, Demi Lovato! C'mon up here Dems!" Demi ran on stage and jumped on Casper's back.
"Oof! Looks like my girl is excited for her performance. Who else is ready?" Casper said into his mic. Everyone screamed again and Demi jumped off his back. I was listening to the shouts of the crowd.
"CC! CC! CC! CC!" They were shouting.
"I think they're ready Casp, are you?" I told him. He nodded and Demi jumped off the stage into the crowd. Dallas was thankfully there to catch her. "So, this first song is going to be our friends' collaboration song. We are dedicating this song to Demi. If you know the words, go ahead and sing along. This is One and the Same." After my little speech, the music started. When it was time, I started us off.(A/N CR=Casper CA=Cam)
"CA: You come from here
I come from there
CR: You rock out in your room
I rock a world premiere
We're more alike than
Anybody could ever tell
(CA: Ever tell)
CR: Friday, we're cool
Monday, we're freaks
CA: Sometimes we rule
Sometimes we can't even speak
But we can get up and
Let loose and LOL
CR: It may seem cliche
For me to wanna say
That you're not alone
(CA: That you're not alone)
CA: And you can call I'm cool
But it's a simple fact
I got your back
(CR: Yeah, Yeah, Yeah)
Both: 'Cause we're one and the same
We're anything but ordinary
One and the same
I think we're almost legendary
You and me the perfect team
Chasing down the dream
We're one and the same
CA: I'm kind of like you
You kind of like me
CR: We in the same song
And a different key
It's got a rhythm
Than you and me
Can get along
(CA: Get along)
CR: It may seem cliche
For me to wanna say
That you're not alone
CA: And you can call i'm cool
But it's a simple fact
I still got your back
Both: 'Cause we're one and the same
We're anything but ordinary
One and the same
I think we're almost lengendary
You and me the perfect team
Shaking up the scene
We're one and the same
'Cause we're one and the same
We're anything but ordinary
One and the same
We're so good moment momentary
Cause we're one yeah, Yeah, Yeah
'Cause we're one
Anything but ordinary
You and me the perfect team
Chasing down the dream
Oh, You and me the perfect team
Shaking up the scene
We're one and the same" As soon as we finished, there was screams and cheers.
"This next song is dedicated to all those out there that have been bullied or are being bullied. Cam, Demi, and I know what it's like to be bullied, and it's not fun. if you are being bullied, talk to someone. If you see someone being bullied, stand up for them. The three of us will NOT stand for bullies. Now, on to the song. This is a new song that will be on our album that will be released next week. Demi, would you like to come help us?" Casper said. Demi ran and jumped onto the stage. Casper, Demi, and I stood together and slung our arms over each others' shoulders.
"If you have been bullied, feel free to sing or dance along. Before we sing, I want to invite two special guests to sing with us. Demi has not seen them in three months, and they miss her soooo much. Put your hands together for Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift!" I shouted into the mic. Demi screamed when they ran on stage and all three of them came into a group hug.
"I thought you two wouldn't be my friends any more!" Demi exclaimed. "Well CC, aren't you gonna join our hug?" Demi asked with a smile on her face. The best part was it wasn't a fake smile. Casper and I ran over and joined in the hug. We all made a circle.
"Demi, you want to lead us in prayer?" Casper asked.
"Sure," she replied. Casper handed her a mic, and we all bowed our heads, even the audience. "Dear God, please bless all of these wonderful people in the audience and everyone on stage with me right now. Please help us perform well, and please help Cam and I through our recoveries. Amen."
"Alright Dems, go on ahead and we'll be right behind you," I informed her. Selena and Taylor had already grabbed a mic, so we were ready for the next part. We all turned towards the crowd and chanted, "DEMI! DEMI! DEMI! DEMI!" She turned around, and the video started. We had all made clips of us telling her how much we missed her. We even showed secret footage of us without her. One clip was of Maddie sitting in her room crying, and Dallas and I walked in.
"What's wrong Mads?" I asked. She looked up at us with tear filled eyes and said,
"I miss Demi." Dallas and I walked over and engulfed her in a hug, and the clip ended. Casper and I turned around, and Demi was crying. We walked over and wrapped her in our arms.
"See, people do love you, and never let anyone tell you otherwise," I whispered in her ear. She nodded and wiped her tears as the video ended. Everyone started clapping, and Demi and I's families were crying. "Alright, now, for the song! This is Who Are You to Say by my brother Casper Boone!" I shouted. I ran to the back of the stage and grabbed my guitar. "Ana, want to help me?" I asked her. She ran up and grabbed her guitar that I had sitting up here.
"Everyone please welcome our little sister, Ana!" Casper shouted. Everyone was clapping and cheering. Ana and I started strumming. Casper sang the song.
"Who are you to say
that we are all different?
Who are you to say
that your are with them?
Who are you to say
that we are the sinners?
Who are you to say
that you are the winners?
Just because we're different,
doesn't mean we're wrong.
Just because we dream in different color,
doesn't mean, we're not strong.
Doesn't matter who we are,
doesn't matter who we'll be.
Ohh Ohh Ohh
Livin' in this wretched world,
spinnin' free from all these ropes.
Who are you to say
that we are all different?
Who are you to say
that you are with them?
Who are you to say
that we are the sinners?
Who are you to say
that you are the winners?
Satan laughing, shooting spears,
all the insults in the air.
Starts to turn me upside down,
like a turmoil in a nightmare.
Who are you to say
that we are all different?
Who are you to say
that you are with them?
Who are you to say
that we are the sinners?
Who are you to say
that you are the winners?
It's hard to make a friend,
when I feel like I'm penned.
It's hard to feel loved,
when I'm bein' shoved.
Ohh Ohh Ohh
Who are you to say
that we are all different?
Who are you to say
that you are with them?
Who are you to say
that we are the sinners?
Who are you to say
that you are the winners?
Who are you to say...
Who are you to say...
Who are you to say..." Everyone started cheering yet again. Then, Casper looked in our direction, and I nodded.
"Alright, this is a song that is important to this little lady sitting beside me, and it's important to our family. Some of you may have seen the video that our kind friend, Dallas Lovato, posted without us knowing. Before we sing, Demi, I want to tell you something," I said. She turned around. "Demi, God gave me you for the ups and downs, He truly did. You are my rock, my sword, my shield. So many people think that the people that kept me going was my whole family, but they're wrong. The two people who kept me going, is you and Ana. I told you, the day that Casper came to LA, that I would have committed suicide that night we met, even if my brother had been at home. When I found out you had the same problems I did, that inspired me to get better. YOU are the reason I am standing here, talking, even breathing. You are my best friend, and you are a sister to me," I told Demi. She was crying. She ran over and hugged me tight. "Demi, you are the reason I now believe in me," I whispered in her ear. Once she had stopped crying, we broke our hug. Everyone was clapping. "Ok, now that the emotional part is over, who is ready for the song?" I shouted into the mic. The crowd screamed. "Well then, Dallas, Ash, Olivia, c'mon. We're gonna need some help to show these people up here how to sing this. Are y'all ready?" I asked once they were on stage and had mics. They nodded, and Ana started the music. She sang the beginning.
"I've been a walking heartache
I've made a mess of me
The person that I've been lately
Ain't who I wanna be
But you stay here right beside me
And watch as the storm blows through
And I need you" Selena, Taylor, and I sang the chorus with her.
"Cause God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it's true
God gave me you
Gave me you" Selena and Taylor sang the next verse instead of me singing it.
"There's more here than what we're seeing
A divine conspiracy
That you, an angel lovely
Could somehow fall for me
You'll always be love's great martyr
And I'll be the flattered fool
And I need you
Yeah!" Then, Casper and Demi joined the four of us.
"God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it's true
God gave me you" All of us except Casper stopped singing and he looked right at Demi to sing his solo.
"On my own I'm only
Half of what I could be
I can't do without you
We are stitched together
And what love has tethered
I pray we never undo" Everyone, including Dallas, Ashley, and Olivia, joined Casper for the chorus.
"Cause God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it's true
God gave me you, gave me you
He gave me you" Every one was clapping, cheering, and screaming. Dallas, Ashley, Olivia, and Ana jumped off the stage into the crowd. Casper and I looked at one another as I walked over to him.
"Are you ready to sing another song with your girlfriend?" I whispered.
"Yeah, only if you're ready to sing another with your best friend," he whispered back. I nodded and walked away. Demi gave me a puzzled look and I walked up to her.
"You'll find out soon enough," I whispered to her before walking away. I walked up to Selena and Taylor as Casper got up.
"So, I am going sing this wonderful song with an even more wonderful person. Some of you may know this song from Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. If you know the words, sing along. This is You're My Favorite Song," Casper said. (A/N D=Demi C=Casper)
"C: Words don't come easy without a melody
I'm always thinking
In terms of do-re-mi
I should be hiking, swimming, laughing with you
Instead I'm all out of tune
But what you don't know
You lift me off the ground
You're inspiration, you helped me find my sound,
Just like a baseline a half-time
You hold down the groove
That's why I'm counting on you
And if I heard you on the radio
I'd never wanna change a single note
It's what I tried to say all along
You're my favorite song
I'm in a session writing tracks
You've got another class to teach
And then rehearsal with a band
You're always one step out of reach
I'm looking for some harmony
With you it comes so naturally
You helped me find the right key
C & D: And when I hear you on the radio
I'd never wanna change a single note
It's what I tried to say all along
You're my favorite song
C: My Favorite Song!
And when I hear you on the radio (C: yeah yea)
I'd never wanna change a single note (C: no no)
C: It's what I tried to say all along
D: You're my favorite song
C: You're my favorite song
~AFTER THE CONCERT~
"That was amazing!" Casper and I shouted after we ran off stage. We turned around and Demi came running up. She jumped, but luckily Casper was there to catch her.
"Let's go home, then we can have a get together with everyone tomorrow," I suggested. Everyone agreed, so we went our separate ways.
