I went to the dress shop to see if I could get a better dress for tonight. Once I got there I was arguing with the tailor about how the dress was dirty and I had 48 hours to bring it back.
"So you want the dress clean... uhh it's going to be two days before we get all the sand and mud out." The older lady said in the back
"But I need this dress today... I'm going to a birthday party and this is the dress I'm suppose to wear." I said sighing and getting angry
"Okay here what I do for you... I'll get new better dress." She said leaving and going to the back getting a new dress it black sweetheart neckline and I could borrow some shoes.
"This will do thanks.." I said
"No problem honey." She said as I left the shop I was lucky today because the bus pulled up as I was walking out. I got dropped at the warehouse were Mariana and Jesus was throwing their parties I walked in and seen it already decorated and there was Emma next to Jesus smiling and laughing.
"Hey did you get a new dress?" Mariana asked
"Yeah I just need new shoes to match it." I said rolling my eyes at Emma
"No problem... we about ride back to my house anyway." Mariana said grabbing her purse and waited on nick to closed the door we all squeeze in the back of nicks car I was sitting on Jesus lap because I didn't trust Emma with Jesus at all. We pulled up to the house and everyone rushed out. Jesus and Nick was in Jesus room getting ready and me Mariana and Emma was in here room with Callie getting dressed. I was in the bathroom when Callie walked in.
"Hey how you holding up with all of this?" Callie asked
"I'm good just hope Emma doesn't.... never mind." I said applying eyeliner to my eye
"If you feel like Emma is trying to come between you and Jesus then tell Jesus how you feel." Callie said
"Your right thanks Callie... even tho Jack passed away I feel like your the sister I always wanted." I said hugging her
"It's okay we're family now." Callie said smacking my cheek with some blush. I smiled and pulled out my dress
"Wow that's beautiful.." she said
"Is it.. that it would be too much or too dull for the occasion." I said
"No it's prefect Jesus is gonna love you in it... let me help you." Callie said clapping her hands
I moved my hair forward as I pinned it to the side. She zipped up the dress and I rubbed it down I felt like a princess. I walked into Mariana room and got stares from Mariana and Emma.
"Ooo mama Jesus gonna freak." Mariana said
Emma had a fake smile on her face. I smiled and Mariana handed me some shoes.
"Girls then boys are waiting downstairs for you." Mrs Foster said walking in
"Awww Mariana you look pretty and so do the rest of you girls." Mrs Foster said almost crying
"Mama don't cry... it's a special occasion." Mariana said laughing and hugging her mom
Emma walked downstairs first then Callie Mariana walked down next and I heard Nick gasp
"You look Beautiful babe." He said kissing her cheek
I was pacing upstairs with heels on I wasn't gonna lie I was nervous about this whole dress situation and Jesus what if he liked me more in converse and shorts what if it was too much... jeez Carter stop over thinking... I didn't see Stef right next to me
"You okay sweetie." She asked fixing her hair
"Umm yeah alittle nervous about going down and seeing Jesus like this." I said twirling the ring that jack gave me
"Sweetie don't be... if he likes without make up he will love wit it on." She said
"Thanks Stef.... for everything even after jack." I said hugging
"No problem sweetie." She said walking downstairs
I finally walked downstairs with Jesus with a surprise look on his face God he hated it.. I knew it should've wore some shorts and gym shoes. I walked downstairs and moved some tiny hairs out my face.
"Hey." I said looking down
"You look beautiful." He said holding my hands and kissing my cheek
We walked out the door on the way to the car he bumped into me and grabbed my hand.

We left to go to the party. Once we walked in Jesus went to his party and Mariana went her party. I was stuck in the middle of it all. Jesus party shut down early because all the guys wanted to join Mariana party. I walked downstairs and lean against the wall looking at Jesus.
"Hey hottie." I said smiling
"Oh hey." He said lowly
I walked over and hugged him he looked like he needed a hug.
"It's ok my birthday gonna be a total bust too." I said smiling
He chuckled and went back to frowning again.
"Jesus what's wrong.?" I asked
He pulled me to a corner where no could hear or see us. I was kinda scared he has never acted like this before.
"I went and seen me and Mariana birth dad... and he's a cool guy and all but when I told him I was his son.. he freaked out... I mean did he not really want us,
I grabbed Jesus neck and hugged him. He was upset and it really hurts me to see him like this. I pulled out his birthday present.
"Jesus.... happy birthday." I said handing him a small box
He opened it and his face lit up like christmas tree. The gift changed his whole mood which I was happy for
"You got us promise rings?" He asked
"You like them.. I mean me and Jack had one so I thought we should have one." I said smiling
He kissed me and hugged me and in that moment I knew Jesus was the one for me. The rest of Mariana's party was fun until I gave her present and Emma had a very pissed expression..
