College is hard; especially when you're deaf. My hands cramp not only with writing, but with the non-stop act of sign language. I have only been at my actual college for a week and I already know that the year is going to be hard. My guidance counselor informed me that there will be an interpreter with me at all times; one in all my classes, and one in my dorm, living with me and helping me out, he would be a freshmen himself.

She lied. Well, she didn't technically lie, but my roommate has yet to show up. One would think the first week of school is the most important. My roommate, I never really asked for the name, will be here on Wednesday-- two days from now-- and I must confess I'm nervous. I was never one for new people.
