I pace the halls as I wait for any type of news on Octavian's condition. It's been a few hours now and I haven't heard a single thing, I'm really worried. Back and forth I walk, I need to keep myself preoccupied so that I don't think the worse case scenario.

"(Name)." I heard a voice speak from behind me. I had turned around and saw Reyna standing there with a look of exhaustion.

"Reyna, is everything alright? How's Octavian?" I couldn't help but speak with concern laced within my voice.

"It's been tough, but everything is alright. He's going to be just fine, he's just resting at the moment. But, if you would like to go see him, you may."

"Oh thank god." I let out a sigh of relief as I heard that everything is going to be ok. "I'll go right away." I was about to head off, but was stopped by Reyna.

"There's something else you should know. As he's been sleeping, he's been murmuring your name and your name alone. I don't know why, but I just thought you should know. It would seem that you've been on his mind recently." I felt myself blush at her words, but quickly shook my head so she couldn't see.

"O-Oh, that's defiantly something. Anyway, thanks Reyna, I'll go see him now." With that I turned around and ran off to where Octavian would be.

Time skip

As I approached the door, I placed my hands on my knees and took a few deeps breaths to regain my breath. Once I was breathing normally, I pushed the door open very gently and walked in. My eyes widened and I gasped as I saw him lying there, his eyes closed as he looked peaceful, hooked up to the machines that saved his life.

"Oh Octavian." I said as I walked up to the bed and placed my hand on his, lacing our fingers together. "Why would you do such a thing?" I begin to say. "I hadn't seen you for a whole week and then I find you at the temple, surrounded by a pool of your own blood. Do you have any idea how worried I was when I found you like that? I thought I was going to lose you for good." I don't know if he could hear me or not, but I had hope that he heard just how worried I was about him. "Please, don't ever do something like that again." I pleaded as I placed my head on our hands as a few tears flew down my cheeks and I silently cried. It was silent for a few moments, not a sound could be heard.

"(N-Name)?" A raspy voice spoke out as I felt his hand slowly squeeze mine. I looked at his face and saw that his eyes were still closed. "(Name)." He muttered out again. I squeezed his hand back as I said,

"I'm here Octavian. Please, open your eyes."

"I-Is it really you? O-Or a figment of my imagination?" He said as he slowly opened his eyes.

"It's really me, I'm really here right beside you."

"Y-You shouldn't be here, please leave." I couldn't help but look at him in shock as he spoke.

"What?" I asked with shock and confusion laced within my voice.

"Please, leave." He repeated.

"But, why?" I asked with hint of sadness laced within my voice. I haven't seen him all week and he doesn't even want me to be here after finding him in a horrific state.

"Because...I don't want to see you at the moment." He spoke after a few moments of silence and sadness hit me like a tidal wave. My hand that was once squeezing his begin to loosen as a few tears begin to form in my eyes, though I refuse to let them fall.

"O-Oh, I s-see." I stuttered out as I tried my dam hardest to not tremble as I speak, though I failed terribly. "I-I'm so s-sorry for coming t-to see if u-you were a-alright. I-l'll be leaving then." Before anything else was said, I released his hand, turned around and walked out the door, not once looking back.
