Liza POV:
"Gabbie, I'm going to go say hi to David." I yell over the music.
Gabbie rolls her eyes.
She doesn't like him and I don't blame her.
But I walk over anyway.
"Hi Da- oh my god you smell like alcohol!" I cough.
"Sorry, Heath spilled vodka all over me!" David gave me his goofy smile.
I narrow my eyes at him, there's no way I believe he's sober.
"I don't drink Liza, I'm a bad boy, not a drunk." David laughs.
"Seriously? You don't drink?" I'm honestly shocked.
"We've got a test in English tomorrow and a hangover doesn't get an A." David laughs again.
"Your in AP English? And you care about grades?" Now it's my turn for a laugh.
"People aren't always black and white, Liza." He flashes his goofy smile again.
"Um, do you want to go somewhere quieter, you know, to talk?" David clears his throat awkwardly.
"Alright, Dobrick." I smile.
"Well come on then, Koshy." He holds his hand out and I laugh.
I take his hand and he pulls me through the back gate and into his car.
"Woah, you own a tesla!" I look around in awe.
"My Mom works in the mayors office." David gives me a sideways look.
"Cool." I say,"What's this button do!"
I randomly start pressing buttons and we start moving forward.
"Oh my god, what'd I do!" I retract my hands.
"You turned on auto drive." David laughs.
"Right, where are we going then?" I know I'm blushing like crazy.
"Well, probably my house." David shrugs.
"Can we get food first? I was going to eat at the party." I ask.
"Alright, Liza. What do you want?" David crosses his arms.
"What any little brown girl with a white mom wants! Chipotle!" I laugh.
"You got it!" David types things into the car and we change lanes.
"Oh my god! Cars can do this?" I laugh.
"It's 2016 Liza, cars can do anything." David laughs.
We arrive at chipotle and the Tesla parallel parks itself.
"I want you to know this is the best parking job I've ever done." David says solemnly.
I feel myself slipping and I hate myself for it.
