I watched in terror as he climbed higher into the tree after me. He was getting closer when I thought I'd improvise. As soon as he'd get close enough I'd jump. The only bad part was that he'd probably jump after me and most likely catch me. But it's better than sitting here like a moron.

I kept watching as he climbed higher, and higher. Just as he was about to sit down on my branch, I thought of something. How was he even going to get me down? He couldn't throw me down; I'd catch a branch and climb right back up. Who said he could even get me off this branch?

That saved me a lot less pain from the landing on the jump, so I decided to stand my ground- or lay my branch.

When he finally got up to my branch he seemed surprised that I stayed where I was. Ha ha who's smart now? Idiot.

He sat down to both his legs were hanging off the same side, and his back rested against the trunk of the tree. He looked up to see me doodling my finger across the bark.

"Ok fun time over. Now get out of the tree."

I raised my eyebrow. "Because I totally want to get out of probably the safest spot I could be in right now, and walk into the arms of the people who kidnapped me. Yeah... I don't think so."

He narrowed his eyes. "Get out of the damn tree. Now."

"Or you'll what?"

His eyes flashed with anger, and he pulled out his gun, and pointed it directly at me. "I said get out of the tree."

I looked at him wide-eyed. "You wouldn't shoot me would you?"

He shrugged, still pointing the gun at me. "I might have to if you don't listen."

I froze and quickly went over the situation and my options:

For my situations here were my angles, I guess you could call it.

1) He wasn't bluffing, and in that case I should probably high tail it out of that tree, so I can be happy and see the sun rise.

2) He defiantly wasn't going to shoot. He needed me, and for whatever reason that is I have a feeling I wouldn't be much useful dead.

3) Ok I really don't see and other angles so let's look at my options.

=~options~=

#1) Get out of the damn tree. Easy, simple, and would piss me off later.

#2) Jump out of the tree and run like hells gone loose. That one kind of explains itself.

#3) Distract him. That one would be easy if I knew with what.

Ok so what I'm taking as common sense, I know he won't shoot me. So option wise that crosses out number one.

I realized number three was my best option, but first I needed to figure out what the distraction would be. So I thought of what distracts Preston. That would be only two things: girls, and kissi-Oh no. I'm not kissing him.

Well he is rather-no no. But then again it's not like I mean it. Pfft. like I ever would.

Ahh but you remember all those romance stories that you envy oh so much?

Shut up. Shut up. I refuse to listen to you.

Ok but when you get out of denial let me know.

I swear to god. If you weren't a part of me, I'd kill you- anyway back to my thought.

Well If I combine option two and three. I think I might actually make it.

I waited. She had either spaced out, or was deliberating. She looked like she saw through me, and was looking at something I couldn't see.
