Aisle, altar, hymn.

269 20 11

There's a tale that's told of a wedding
And the rehearsal the week before.
The vicar ran through the service
And the bride was taking it in.

You walk down the aisle
He was saying, to the altar
And then there's a hymn.
There were other bits too
But the bride was excited
So she didn't take all of them in.

So the groom stood there at the altar
Waiting there for his bride
And as she slowly came nearer
He couldn't help hearing
The words she said under her breath.
The same three words she repeated
Determined to make them stick.
The words that he heard
From the lips of his bride were,
"I'll alter him."
