I took out my gun and aimed it at her.

"GO SAMIRA!!!" She yelled, tears streaming down her cheeks.

The little girl ran all the way upstairs, leaving us two alone.

I threw her back onto the couch.

"Now tell me Zariah, why the fuck did you kill my sister???"

"Calvin I promise, I didn't kill your sister. I-I don't even know who your sister is."

"Candice. Candice is my sister."

Her eyes widened.

"I-I didn't know." She said, wiping her tears.

My phone rang and I looked down at the caller ID before answering it?

CALVIN: "Speak."

DORNELLE: "We know who killed your sister."

I let go of her hair.

CALVIN: "Who?"

DORNELLE: "Does Selena Thompson ring a bell?"

CALVIN: "It sure fucking does."

I hung up the phone and slid it into my pocket.

"You're so fucking lucky. A little too lucky." I said, standing up.

I walked out of her house and slammed the door behind me. I got into my car and started up the engine.

This bitch is gon pay.

ZARIAH'S P.O.V.

"Oh baby it's okay." I said, wiping her tears.

"Mommy he scare me." Samira cried onto my shirt.

"It's okay baby. He's not gonna come back." I said, laying her down. "Now try and get some sleep."

I rubbed her hair, and she soon fell asleep. I tucked her in and then kissed her forehead.

I got up and left her room, going into my bathroom.

"Hey baby." August said, kissing my cheek.

I winced at the pain.

His smile turned into a frown. "You good?"

I nodded. "Yeah I'm good."

He then examined me up and down. I was hoping he wouldn't notice the hand mark that I tried to cover with makeup.

He touched my cheek again and I winced again.

He grabbed a damp rag and started wiping the makeup off my cheek.

"What the fuck is this?" He said, pointing to the hand mark that was on my cheek. "And don't you fucking dare say it's nothing."

"It's just a little mark, that's all."

"Little? This shit look like a grown man done smacked yo ass in the face."
