Soon the sound of footsteps dissipated, Letting out a trembling breath, I pulled myself from my small hiding spot. Running off, I needed to get away, if I get far enough away, I might be able to find someone that can help. The greenery started to disperse and cleared into a lake. Halting, I barely stopped myself from falling in. A rumbling sound soon erupted from the sky. Staring up, grey clouds caused me to shiver in nostalgia.

"Over there!" a voice rang out in the crisp air, scaring the birds away from their branches. not looking back, I ran along the edge of the lake. Rain started to pour down, staining my clothing in water. They were going to cut me off at this rate. Glancing behind me, I couldn't see them yet. I knew what my last resort had to be in this situation, my last hope of freedom. Wading into the rippling water, a shiver ran down my spine as the coldness seeped into my skin. Hearing voices climb up my ear, I dunked myself under. Clamping my hand over my mouth and nose, I tried stilling my movement, turning me into a statue. My lungs were already begging for air, but my mind knew the consequences.

Distorted noise rang in my ears. Please leave. Please leave. Please leave. My mind begged as I was slowly losing my grip around my mouth. The noise seemed to stop, but I refused to bring my head back up just yet. Thunder clapped, rippling the waves into more than just raindrops. The water eerily illuminated as lighting struck near me. About to let water flood my lungs, A hand tangled itself in my hair. Yanking me up, I took in a big breath of water in shock and fear as I was unwillingly dragged from the water, the liquid burning through my lungs. As the crisp air felt like needles against my damp skin. Clawing at the hand desperately, I'd rather drown than be taken back. "Heh, clever gal" a man inspected "but just not clever enough" he said silently before turning his head around "Found Her!" he yelled, causing more heads to turn towards me. Finally he released my hair, my scalp burning along with my lungs. My knees buckled as I tried to regain my breath, my lungs enjoying the blissful air.

Before any one else could touch me, I stumbled to my feet, ducking under a man's arms, I was prepared to start running again. Before I even got a step away, I was hastily restrained by a set of cuffs and rough arms. "please, please! Just let me go!" I pleaded, struggling in their strong rigid grip. If they take me back, there's no telling what he'll do. "please" I breathed. "Sorry sugar, no can do. If we let you go, we're all dead meat" one stated. "Just behave, and you should be fine" another tried to pathetically reassure. I didn't stop resisting, as they dragged me back through the woods. Kicking, screaming, clawing at their arms, hoping their grip would waver. He's going to kill me. I don't want to die. My body started to tremble in fear uncontrollably. "cold? It's fine, we'll be back home soon" one of the men holding me informed unknowingly. "I-I Don't Want To Die!" I screamed, wanting to collapse from everything that's happened. Every color faded to a dreary monochrome, just like my chances of freedom.
