Okay so this is a One Direction fan fic that I've had ideas for for a while now. Hope you like it. Feed back would be lovely <3 Picture of Ari on the side. Okay so i personally thought this story was fucking terrible so i started it over and it's probably not gonna be any better oh well. it's gonna be first person again cause i don't know how to properly write.

But if you wanna leave, take good care
I hope you have a lot of nice things to wear
But then a lot of nice things turn bad out there
I turned up the volume, drowning my head with music instead of thoughts. The feeling of nerves and slight anxiety was getting a bit unbearable. When I've thought about this moment before, I assumed that I would be happier. Not that I'm not, I just... thought it would be better. No dumbass family, just me. I've been waiting for years to finally grow the balls to move out, but, maybe it's because it wasn't completely my decision? I don't know. It's not that I haven't been back to England since moving back to the states, it's just more final now and I really should go see some people.
Nostalgic memories interupted the music. Everytime I've come back, I wasn't ready to see them again, I thought I was this time around, but I'm not so sure anymore. I'm just afraid that they'll start seeing me the way I see me.
God, when are we gonna reach my fucking floor? I would choose a flat that's on the 28th floor. I took a few more sips from my flask before tucking it back into my jacket.
The lift finally stopped on my floor and opened its doors to reveal something, well someone, I wasn't expecting to see. Well not so soon anyway.
---
I stood in front of the lift for what felt like ages. So fucking slow. Finally it made the sound indicating that it was here.
The doors opened and revealed a very nice pair of legs. I was enjoying the view until....
"HEMS!" Wait. What. Only one person in the entire world calls me Hems because she knows its pisses me off.
I look up and see the face of a very fit girl and when that face sunk in along with the blonde hair and blue eyes, my own eyes went wide.
"Holy shit, Ari?!" I asked. She nodded and threw her arms around me for a hug and I hugged her right back. "Oh my god, fuck, wow! I, I actually didn't think I'd see you again."
"Were you hoping to not see me again?" She asked with a smirk.
I backed up and shook my hair out of my eyes. "No, no, I'm glad to see you, I'm just surprised?"
The doors were about to close until it sensed my arm that I shot up. "Here let me help you those," I said as I grabbed some of her luggage. "Wait you're staying here?"
"Yep," Ari said and pointed to a door.
A wide grin spread on my face. "Looks like we're neighbors! So you guys moved back? For good?"
"Oh really?" She dragged out as she was opening the door with a key I didn't see her pull out. "No, it's just me. For good? I dunno, maybe? Not sure if I still like you Brits."
I chuckled, "You kind of developed our accent, so I think you have to." Ari kicked the door open and I slid all her luggage in. "Just you? Why didn't your mum or your sibings come? You were living with your mum right?"
Ari plopped down to one of the sofas before responding. "Yeah and well let's just say Jane kicked me out. She didn't cut me off or anything, just wanted me out of the house, so why not come here?"
