Today is moving day for my family. We packed everything in the house inside the huge moving truck. My dad sat in the driver's seat, my mom sat in the passenger seat, and me and my two brothers sat in the backseat.
Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Richard Anderson, or Ricky as I prefer. And I am nine years old about to be in 4th grade. I got a very fun mom and an average normal dad. I also have two brothers: Dwayne is two years older than me and J.D. is slightly a year younger than me. And don't forget our super cuddly and playful cat, Figaro.
We live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but today we're moving to Maryland because my dad has a job over there. Thank God we're moving in the middle of summer because I don't want to be new to the school in the middle of the school year and have to catch up on stuff.
I'm glad my dad picked the right season and time to move. I've never been to Maryland and it's a kind of a small state. Maybe it'll be easier getting around than Pennsylvania.
It's like a 2 hour drive going down there. It's gonna be loooooong drive.
