SHERMAN P. HERMAN, a local merchant of handcrafted headstones, died yesterday forenoon after a long and arduous battle with acute coryza.
Mr. Herman will be missed at this season's summer stock production of The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, where he was slated to play the role of Quasimodo as he was the only person available to fit the costume. He was the oldest son of Mr. G Herman and the brother of Lewis Herman - a two-time "Hillside County Handsome Hunk" winner.
Mr. Herman grew up in the city cloisters before his adoption into the Herman family.
The funeral will occur at 11 o'clock today at Monster Mortuary, 1313 Mockingbird Lane.
