LAST WEDNESDAY night an entity called The Mist was apprehended in Marrow Square after consuming 36 victims at a town rummage sale. Monster Mortuary will perform live internment, 12 feet deep, as no city jail is adequate to hold The Mist whose origins are unknown.
Since the tragedy, family members of the 36 dead have reported horrific nightmares—hundreds of glowing eyes haunting them in their sleep. E.P. (Entity Professor) Verity Skelton claimed a psychic bond is to blame, one formed between The Mist and the victims' relatives as a result of shared, familial blood. The Mist, she said, is "our Modern Boogey Man, preying on the body, soul, and mind." (Purchase Skelton's book "Understanding Inner Demons; a New Species at your local bookstore this November.)
The internment will commence on October 7 at 10 o'clock p.m. Anyone who wishes to pall bear or stand witness is asked to arrive a half-hour early at 1313 Mockingbird Lane.
