Mas lumaki ang pagkakangiti niya.

"I - I mean your get up." I said and looked away.

"I think my get up is fine" he smiled again. No, Mister. You don't understand.

I took a deep breath. "Then, we're fine. Hmmm" hinawakan ko ang baba ko and I look around. Wala akong nakikitang kahit na anong papers na uumpisahan naming basahin o what. So, ano na ba?

"I think you know what to do next?" I may sound impatient but that's the truth. I am being impatient right now.

"Wait a sec" he said at humarap kay Dahlia. "The branch is ready?" He asked.

"Yes, Sir" sagot nito habang nakatingin sa hawak niyang papel. May hawak na din siyang ballpen na anytime ready to take down notes. So secretary like.

"Yung sasakyan? We are about to leave"

What?

"Okay na Sir. Nasa baba na po" she answered.

"Wait. What? Leave? Who?"

"Us. We will leave"

"Where we heading at? I mean, aren't this clear to you that you have to orient me or something?" I try to hide the panic on my voice.

"Lorraine advised me to teach you in the way you can learn faster and I think seeing it on actual can help you learn faster than reading it on papers" polite niyang sabi.

"So that's why you are on your "fine" get up?" Mapakla kong sabi. Lorraine namumuro ka na talaga sa akin. Tss.

"Yeah. It's more comfortable" he smiles. "You want to change?" He looks at me and down to my pumps.

"Nah. I don't want to waste any more time. I'm good with these formalities" I want to scream. Really. Gusto kong maglupasay dahil parang feeling ko pinaglalaruan ako ni Ate Ren at nitong Frank na to.

"Sure?"

I nod.

"Then, let's go" he said at naglakad na kami palabas ng building na iyon.

I feel so boss. Not because I know all things but because of what I am wearing. Seriously - and that's the only advantage.

Gahd. Bakit hindi ko pa ginrab yung chance na makapagpalit?

" Not all the stores ay airconditioned" Frank warned me nung nasa van kami papunta sa unang store. Sa unang store, I think isa yon sa mga big stores kaya maganda at airconditioned pero at eto na nga kami sa pangalawang store - medyo maliit at walang aircon.

By the way, my Dad owns supermarket chains sa buong Milagros. Meron din sa isang lalawigan pero mangilan ngilan pa lang at isa na nga dito sa Kapri. 

"This is one of the smallest branch at hindi kumikitang branch kaya hindi masyadong maayos" paliwanag ni Frank papasok pa lang kami sa parking.

"One of the smallest? Bakit hindi iparenovate?"

"The board wants it to be closed"

"Dahil hindi kumikita?"

"Soon you'll find out, okay? But for now, tingnan mo muna" seryoso niyang sagot.

"How many supermarkets do we have here in Milagros?" I asked.

" 8 big stores and 7 junior accounts and 6 mini-stores pa like this one.  We also have branches in Hilario, Sta. Catalina and other cities"

Tumango tango ako. Hindi biro tong pinasok ko.

Pagkapark namin ay agad na kaming bumaba. Bungad pa lang ng entrance ay mararamdaman mo na ang humid na hangin na nanggagaling sa loob.

"It will be quick" Frank assures me.
