{Chapter 14}

The invasion.

Me and Aidan were still casually walking through the sky. Except it's not grey more like blue.

Kinda.

Aidan stops and just stares at the distance. I look at where he's staring at; Absolutely nothing.

"Aidan?" I say.

He blinks and sighs.

"Ath, do you remember anything about your father?"

I try to think of that word, Father even my head can't go inside those memories I mean I remember talking to my father but I don't remember his face. In fact I don't even know what we talked about probably something childish.

"No."

"Oh ok." Aidan just shrugs and starts to walk.

Ever since I found out that Aidan isn't a human something has been bothering me.

"Hey Aidan!" I yelled.

"Yeah?" He asks confused.

"Look, all this started when I got a text from someone named "D.s" and now me being not human, I mean seriously-"

"Wait back up, What's this person's name that texted you?"

"I don't know! The person just wants to be called D.s and goes to our school."

Aidan looks at me like I'm some sorta ghost, He seems pretty spooked.

"Ath... D.s is your father's code name."

I blinked my mouth even dropped a little.

"My father?"

"Yeah, but the question right now is does he know-"

There was a gun shot near by.

"Shi-" I covered his mouth with the tip of my fingers and made the shushing noise but more faint.

"Language child." I said copying Helga.

"Who the heck says that?" Aidan whispered.

"Hel-"

Another gun shot.

"Hide up there!" Aidan says pointing to a tree.

Aidan speed walks to the tree quietly.

"Hold up!" I scream whispered.

"What?"

I catch up to him, were standing in front of the tree.

"Well don't just stand there!"

"I can't climb trees Aidan!"

"You what? But you climb ropes in gym before!"

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah! When I was ten!"

Another gun shot but this time even closer.

"Well you stay here and die, later!" He smirks knowing I wouldn't let him.

Another gun shot but a couple of steps away.

"Fine!" I whispered.

I climbed up the tree not knowing what happened next...
