Dawnpaw stood their, shocked. She looked around and noticed the patrol look just as baffled and shocked as she was. Come on we should get going back to camp Badgerclaw said. As they walked back to camp she remembered Greenstars words and shivered. Suddenly a more important question came to her. Who put Swampclan scent all over there she thought. When they arrived in camp she saw Marshstar look at them expectantly. How did it go she asked. As Badgerclaw filled Marshstar in Amberleaf bounded over What happened she asked, concern sparking in her eyes. started to explain with Hazelpaw helping her. Amberleaf tilted her head her eyes looking troubled. That's very bad Amberleaf meowed worriedly. She stood there for a heartbeat and then heard a yowl as Marshstar summoned the clan. She padded over and sat down beside Her sister and mother along with Windpaw. Hazelpaw started filling Windpaw in but trailed off as Marshstar started speaking. The patrol has reported back to me and it seems like somebody has framed us Marshstar announced. Shocked gasps sounded throughout the clan but quieted when Marshstar waved her tail for silence. We will soon find the culprit but for now I want increased watches on the elm watch and if anybody finds out who the culprit is tell me she finished, dismissing the meeting. Dawnpaw stood up and shook out her pelt her mind spinning with questions as she said a quick goodnight to Hazelpaw and Windpaw before curling up in her nest.

A couple of days had passed since Greenstar had left. Icepool had entered the nursery. Dawnpaw kneaded the ground impatiently as she waited for Badgerclaw to take her out. Frost was on the ground and a thin covering of snow appeared as leaf-bare approached. She looked around Brightpaw and Adderpaw were chatting in a corner of the camp while Foxkit and Robinkit played outside the nursery. She saw Badgerclaw walking towards her and excitement rushed through her. Are you ready he asked. She hurried after him. Cold air rattled the forest and she shivered. Suddenly she smelled the scent of a mouse. Badgerclaw looked around there's a mouse she whispered. He nodded and she stalked forward trying not to cause the leaves to crunch. Suddenly she heard a leaf crackle and she lunged forward pinning the mouse down and delivering a quick killing bite. Good job Badgerclaw praised her, she opened her mouth to say something but Badgerclaw stiffened. He opened his mouth to say something but Suddenly she heard a swoop and she let out a screech as claws dug into her back.
