With the huge success of XBLA and iOS Indie Game The Impossible Game a sequel was almost guaranteed. With the game that only lasted about a minute and half people were eager for more impossibleness. Enter The impossible Level Pack into the fray and what you get is 2 new 1 minute 30 levels with new songs, layouts and background colours for you to utilise your button tapping skills in an all new way.
The DLC handles exactly the same as the original game and looks exactly the same bar new coloured backgrounds. The game includes 6 new medals to achieve and has 2 new specially composed pieces just for the game. You still play as the now famous jumping red square in his infamously infuriating deathly obstacle course composed of triangles, squares and void areas. But this time the challenge has been ramped up all the way to 11. The obstacles come thick and fast as this is designed for seasoned veterans of The Impossible Game only making this a game controller throwing worthy 80MSP thrill ride. Not to mention the brand new colour transitions and flip side sections of the tracks.
Intermittently throughout the songs (but more in track 3) the red square will fall through the track and be riding upside down bringing with it a colour change. This is incredible frustrating and also a completely new game changing challenge to overcome. The only thing that changes here is the direction the square jumps in, he jumps down and is pulled back up towards the track to land, the colour shift also come quickly and with a flash throwing you off your train of thought unless you know when its going to cut in.
The Impossible Level Pack is a must buy for any fan of The Impossible Game or for anyone wanting a major challenge in the form of a pocket money priced ball of fun, at 80MSP this DLC is a steal and will last for many retry screens to come.
