You come here to be alone.
A place you can think,
Or just let everything go.
In the heart of the wilderness.
A place to lay and rest by night,
To stalk and hunt the elk by day,
Who live everyday of their lives--
In the heart of the wilderness.
You sleep in a make-shift camp.
All you have is the starlight.
Plus a quick little fire for warmth.
In the heart of the wilderness.
Through sun and through rain,
Through ice and through mud,
Through mountains you travel,
In the heart of the wilderness.
You live here for days on end,
You could turn back, but why?
This here is where you love to be.
In the heart of the wilderness.
Just you and one companion,
Your one old faithful horse.
Your rifle for food, and time.
In the heart of the wilderness.....

PoetryAll of my poems gathered into one book (who knows, maybe someday published as so? probably not :-/ ) poems of different topics but none would be on here if I didn't truly like it, if i didn't think I did good on one, it would be gone.
