You set the mug down on the nightstand next to you. You remembered well what had happened that night. About two years ago you had broken up with Hoseok. Of course, you were happy with Hoseok but you knew that the feelings you had for him were slowly fading. The smiles and kisses you gave him weren't real anymore. Everything was a lie. You began to meet up with Yoongi, who was your friend at the time. Yoongi had replaced Hoseok in your heart. You couldn't hurt Hoseok like that anymore. Breaking up with him would shatter him, but him finding out that you were secretly with Yoongi would kill him. You decided letting him go was the right decision. The moment you told him the truth you had expected him to leave, yell at you, cry, or even a slap if you dared to think. However, you weren't prepared for the words that he had said to you. He smiled and said "I'm happy for you. I wish you the best with Yoongi." You were shocked. This was not the reaction that you would expect from Hoseok. He even stayed best friends with you after the incident, acting if nothing had happened.

You thought he was on vacation the month he didn't show up at work. However, it wasn't a vacation at all. It was a living hell. The torment you brought to him was unbearable. He drank every single night. He broke everything in sight. He stopped eating or drinking. He sat in bed every day shedding tears and reminiscing the times you spent with him in the past. He missed you so much. All he wanted was to have you in his arms again. Yet, that wasn't possible. He didn't want to force you to stay with him knowing that you were unhappy with him. When he showed up at work and you asked him why he looked sick, he simply gave you a weak smile and said that he caught a severe fever. That incident was never brought up again.

"Hoseok, I'm so sorry," you whispered. Tears were threatening to fall. Damn, I can't cry twice in a row tonight.

He pulls you into his arms upon hearing you starting to cry. "Shh, don't cry. It doesn't matter... anymore."

His words made you cry even harder. You let out loud sobs as he stroked your hair and comforted you. How could you be so blind? How could you not see Hoseok standing in front of you all this time? He hid the pain so well. You never noticed. The only thoughts he had when at work were of you. Yet, the thoughts you had were of Yoongi. You only thought of Hoseok as a best friend, never anything more. The time you spent with him were replaced with Yoongi. Your relationship with Hoseok disappeared without a trace of guilt or regret.

Soon, your tears had started to cease. You pulled away from Hoseok and looked at him. You leaned in and your face inched closer to his, you didn't know what you were doing. Hoseok stared back at you and confusion flickered in his eyes. Right now, you were tired and hurt. You needed someone. Within a few seconds, you closed the distance between you both. His mouth felt familiar on yours. Everything seemed to fit perfectly in place. The memories you both made started flooding back into your mind. The kiss made you feel safe and you pulled Hoseok down onto the bed along with you. Hoseok held you against him as the kiss deepened.

Hoseok broke the kiss, with his forehead on top of yours he whispered, "I missed you," and with that his lips were immediately on yours again. He continued the kiss down your neck and a small moan of pleasure escaped your mouth. His hands moved under your shirt, as yours were around his neck.

The night was filled with bliss.
