I wake up facing the edge of the bed with Josh's arms draped over me from behind.
The blankets are kicked down to our legs and I pull it back up and nuzzle closer to Josh.

The morning sun is shining through the window in my eyes once again.

"Josh," I try to wake him.

"Shh, just let me enjoy this," he says holding me tighter.

"You really need to get some damn curtains in this room," I say turning around facing him, his arms still holding me.

"Maybe," he says his eyes still closed.
"Don't leave. Not yet."

"I wasn't going to," I respond.

He opens his eyes and smiles at me.

"I wish I could wake up with you every morning," he sighs.

I place my hand gently on his face and rub my thumb on his smooth skin that's glowing from the bright morning sun.

"I would love that," I smile at him.

He moves his eyes away and smiles, obviously blushing from my comment.

"I love you," he sighs. His words shock me and I stiffen.

I shift my body and he takes acknowledge of my sudden uncomfortableness.

"Sorry," he frowns and loosens his grip. "I didn't mean to-"

"It's okay," I say pulling his arms over me again. "You just caught me off guard."

He frowns again and closes his eyes.

"I love you," I whisper and he holds me tighter than before.

We drift back to sleep for another hour before awakening.

"What time is it?" I ask Josh, still wrapped in his arms.

"Um it's about 9- oh shit," he panics.

"What? What's wrong?" I ask impatiently.

"Claudia called like ten times and now she's mad for not answering. I have several angry texts from her," he says now sitting up scrolling through his phone.

"She said she coming over to 'talk.' This should be good," he says rubbing his forehead in exhaustion.

"When did she send that?"

"About twenty minutes ago," he responds.

"Josh?" We hear an angry yell from downstairs.

"Are you kidding me," Josh says as he hurriedly gets out of bed and puts on a shirt.

"How did she get in the house?" I ask but he doesn't respond.

"Don't leave this room until I come back upstairs,"

"Josh, are you in your room?" The voice yells from the stairwell.

He leaves the room and shuts the door quickly behind him. I scramble out of bed and put on my clothes until I hear the creek of the door and I run to Josh's bathroom inside of his bedroom before the door is completely open.

"So you didn't bother to return my calls!?" Claudia shrieks.

"I just told you I was sleeping in," Josh replies just as annoyed.

"I don't care! What were you doing last night that made you sleep in so late?"

"Movie night, I already told you!" he yells back.

"With Jen, right? That's what I thought," she says.

"So what, we always have movie night together," Josh responds.
