Valerie's POV~

"Norman thinks he can run from me but he's wrong." I laughed as I sped drive down the road.

I had no clue where this Norman guy lived but I decided best to drive by where he put my ticket earlier. Even so it was the middle of the night I had hope I could catch a glimpse of him. Sure enough his cop car was parked where he stopped me. I couldn't help but smirk. Something told me he should be off duty by now. I slowly parked my car behind his and turn my headlights on super bright. Just when I was getting out of the car, he slammed his car door wide open.

"I knew you would show up here." He held no expression whatsoever.

"Why did you miss me?" I strut my way towards him.

He crossed his arms over his chest and walked over to me.

"Miss you no." He held his voice firm. "But talk to you yes."

"Talk about what?" I smirked with a slight laugh and stood just inches away from him.

"Explain to me what you won back at the coffee shop!" He rose his voice in demand.

"I won payback." I walked over to him and grabbed him by the collars shirt.

"So it was for the ticket huh?" He looked down at me.

I haven't realized he was quite tall and had a very nice well form body. I leaned in close to him and jammed my finger on his sturdy chest.

"You shouldn't have mess with me." I warned him.

"With more reason now I believe I did the right thing." He narrowed his eyes at me.

"Why is that?" I breathed.

"You shouldn't be lose." He took a step back and fisted his hands. "More than ever I will make sure justice will be serve."

"Justice?" I laughed. "What does justice has to do with anything?" I placed my hand on my hip and let a small breeze sway my dress and hair.

"Clearly I will make sure you pay for that ticket and for ruining my date."

"Oh so it's the date your mad at. Did mousey Elizabeth leave you?" I flashed a perfect smile.

"Don't get Elizabeth involved in this. This is between you and me!" He pointed at me.

"Well said Norman..." I purred his name. "Just you and me." I winked at him and couldn't help but to crack up.

"You're crazy!" He yelled in frustration.

"On contraire." I bit my bottom lip. "Last time I recall I was strange."

"It doesn't matter what you are!" He exhaled heavily. "All that matter is that you are in my list."

"List?" I gasped and flutter my eyes a million per second. "A lover list?"

"That's it!" He took a step towards me and grasped me by the arm. "Are you provoking me?" He gritted his teeth together.

"Not at all." I glared into his eyes as surprise took over me at his sudden reaction. "Don't you want me?"

"Excuse me?"

"Don't you want me?" I repeated.

"No."

"No?!" Anger surged through me.

Never has it taken me so long for a man to fall for me. Not only was he rejecting me but he seem to not see anything in me. I released my arm from him and tilted my head up.

"Maybe for now you don't want me but I know sooner or later you will."

"What's wrong with you?!" He ruffled his hair violently.

"I will make sure you come begging for me!" I started to walk away backwards to my car.

Even so my thirst was driving me crazy, I wasn't ready to reveal myself just yet. If I wanted to get his blood, I wanted him to fall head first for me.

"We will solve this in court." Norman walked backwards to his car.

"Fine!" I yelled back. "See you in court!" I got besides my car.

"We will!" He stood by his.

We passed glares to each other that felt like forever. His dark forest green eyes locked into my honey color eyes. This was going to be trickier than I thought. His eyes were hard to read. I didn't care if he liked me or not. I just never felt insulted by a man before. Rejection burned through my veins making my fangs slowly come out. I was thirsty and there was nothing I could do about it.

I finally gave up with the staring contest and slammed my car's door shut and driving off away from him.

I may not have gotten his blood like I wanted to but I did catch his address. I looked down at my hands and grinned like never before.

"Stupid human." I laugh as I held in between my hands his wallet. Not only did I manage to slip my hands in his pocket without him knowing, but I also got all the information I needed about him.

He has the blood I need in him and I won't stop until I have my lips on his neck.

I licked my lips almost tasting his sweet metallic blood.

"Lets see how long can you run before I catch you again." I used my signature smirk and looked back on the view mirror.

Norman's car stayed where it was with its lights turn off.

"Poor Norman. Sorry I had to ruin your date." I chuckled at the thought that he went back to work after the drama I gave him in the coffee shop.

This just shows how weak humans can be.

"This is the modern world."

Mrs. Trinity's words echoed in my mind as I zoomed off back to my house before the sun slowly rose in the horizon. Centuries back I never suffered in finding blood but now as the world goes more modern each day, life for a vampire is sure a challenge.

Good thing I was always ready for a good challenge.

And I wasn't willing to die just yet. This is my world and I was willing to face the consequences.

Even if it meant I had to beg myself for Norman to fall for me.
