Camila's point of view
"So how will the audition go?"
I asked. Whilr we sat on this panel of judge's table.
Me, Jerry, Mr. Dunning, Mrs. Roberts(one of the producers), Mr. Gold (one of the directors) will serve as the Judges.
Asa is also inside the auditon hall. He will be exchanging lines with the auditionees, for us to see who will be the perfect RUTH for him.
"Well, the actresses will act out random lines from your book, with Asa, and whoever blew us away with her acting is going to be the winner..."
Jerry answered.
"Isn't that exciting?"
Mrs. Roberts responded.
"Im really excited ma'am,"
I flashed a smile on her. It's going to be a 'on the spot acting'.
"Okay... are we ready?"
Mr. Dunning asked.
"I was born ready,"
Jerry shouted.
I was just smiling at them.
"Okay, lets call on the first actress,"
Mr. Dunning called the floor director.
The first girl entered the hall.
"Hi. My name is Amandla Stenberg, im 23 years old and i am from Seattle,"
Omg. I know this gal, she played RUE on the movie Hunger Games.
"Rue! Im a fan..."
I screamed.
She smiled at me.
"Me too Camila.... im a certified harmonizer..."
"Oookaaay, lets save that one for later......"
Jerry interrupted us.
He knows that girl talks takes forever.
"....so why did you audition for the role?" I asked Amandla.
"I love your book. It's sad and heartbreaking, this gives me too many emotions, i lived for this book, its like im destined to be Ruth..."
The black girl answered with confidence.
"Alrighty, we'll see. Asa! Come in,"
Mr. Dunning called Asa.
Asa entered the hall.
"Hi!"
He greeted Amandla.
"Okay, you were given a dialogue to memorize before the audition, you just have to act it out with Asa... are you okay with that?"
Mr. Gold gave her instructions.
"Sure!"
Amandla answered.
Im really excited
RUTH AND DANIEL are coming to life..
"Okay, scene 14, Whenever you're ready...."
Mr. Gold replied.
And just like that. I saw Asa's transition from himself, to Daniel.
Wow. His aura changed, like he was the real Daniel.
"Ruth. What the hell? You fell and scratched your knees again. I told you to avoid being clumsy....."
"I-im sorry Daniel...im weak, you know that, im not made for war..."
Wow. Amandla is really good. Her emotions are really on point..
"christ! Why are you doing this to me Ruth.."
"Im doing what Daniel?"
"You make me want to take care of you..."
"What's wrong with that Daniel, i would want you to take care of me too.."
"I can't.."
The feels. I'm really amazed.
