Chapter 16 - New Beginnings

A/N: Hey all! The next few chapters will be Taehyung's backstory and it will return to the main story after so here you go...

"Tae" Jungkook called. Taehyung just hummed as they were still embracing each other. "Tell me the real reason you moved here. I want to know everything." Taehyung just froze at his words and Jungkook felt him. Taehyung couldn't help but sigh and slowly softened. He knew Jungkook deserved to know after how the older made him feel. Taking a deep breath, he sat up out of the embrace to face the younger male and opened his mouth.

"Okay. You deserve to know why I moved here. You deserve to know why I rejected you so I'm going to tell you. I'll tell you everything."

The alarm blared through the morning silence. Taehyung growled and slammed his down on it. Groaning, he stretched across his small bed. With a deep sigh he pulled himself up and out of the covers. He shivered from the cold air that hit his body and quickly ran to get a hot shower to keep himself warm. After finished, he walked back into his tiny bedroom. It was small, like the place he lived. Living alone had its downfalls but Taehyung was contempt with what he had. It was a time of new beginnings for the male. He worked so hard to get himself into a prestige school despite having a full time job at a nearby shop to get himself by. To be honest, he was scared for his life. He had heard that the students that attended the school were from of high class, all coming from wealthy families. Taehyung however was from much lower class hence why he worked so hard to make it for himself. Now that he had a chance he wasn't going to let it slip. Finishing getting himself ready with his smart uniform and styling his hair, he looked himself in the mirror.

"You've got this Taehyung" he said, pointing to his reflection in an attempt to boost his confidence. He nodded and afterwards he left his apartment and made his way.

To say it was big was an understatement. The school looked like a giant mansion, traditional and elegant. Taehyung just stared in awe. There were many students walking around in their respective groups, dressed in the same posh outfit Taehyung was wearing. Taehyung made his way inside and up to a large front desk that sat in front of him.

"Um, excuse me?" He said, gaining the attention of the receptionist. "Good morning. My name in Kim Taehyung. I'm new here" he introduced himself.

"Hmm let me see" the brunette receptionist said as she typed away on her computer. "Ah yes! Mr Kim. New student, gained a place through a scholarship" she stated, although Taehyung took note of how her eyes squinted at reading that he gained a scholarship, like it was something new and unheard of. "If you would just like to follow me" she said, getting up to which Taehyung immediately followed. As the receptionist walked him down the long hallways, Taehyung couldn't help but feel the gaze of all the other students around him. He could sense they were all asking questions mentally. Out of the kindness of his heart, he respectfully smiled and bowed slightly to them. He kept his head down till they reached a room.

"This is where your first lesson is held. After class, come back to reception to get everything you need" she said highly and walked off.

"A-ah okay thank you" Taehyung replied, even though she had walked away. 'Okay, here goes nothing' he mentally prepared himself, took a deep breath and knocked the door. Opening it he stepped inside.

Once in there, he noted how big the classroom was. No wonder the school building was so large. There was an older man with glasses standing at the front. As the opening of the door caught everyone's attention, the man narrowed his eyes at Taehyung. Taehyung shivered at how intimidating the older man looked.

"U-um Kim Taehyung. New Student" he introduced himself with a bow.

"Come forward" the man's voice commanded. It was deep and harsh. Taehyung stepped up to the man and bowed again. The whole room was silent and Taehyung knew that the other students present were listening in on the conversation. "You're late" the man informed.

"I'm very sorry, I didn't know what time I had to be here for as I-" Taehyung began to apologise but his speech was cut short.

"I don't care for your excuses. I'm Mr Lee. You will call me nothing else. You will arrive to my class on time everyday without fail. Do I make myself clear?" the teacher lectured. Taehyung nodded and bowed in apology. "Take your seat over there" he pointed to an empty chair next to male student. Taehyung walked over and sat down, still feeling the gaze of all the other students. "Is there any particular reason that you are all staring at one person? No? Then eyes to the front" Mr Lee shouted and continued to teach. Taehyung sat with his back straight and listened as much as he could, scared of what the teacher may do if he misbehaved.

"You don't have to sit like that you know?" A voice spoke next to him. Taehyung turned to face another male student. He had a pretty face and his voice was very friendly.

"But what about him?" Taehyung asked, aiming his question about Mr Lee.

"Don't mind him. He's always like that" the male said. "The name's Bo-Gum. Park Bo-Gum" he introduced and held out his hand. Taehyung shook it and introduced himself. "So, your parents must have paid a lot for you to join so late?" Bo-Gum asked.

"Uh, no I got here through a scholarship" Taehyung answered quietly, so not to disturb the teacher.

"Wait so you're parents didn't pay?" Bo-Gum asked a little shocked. Taehyung shook his head.

"No. I don't have parents and I couldn't afford this place on my own" Taehyung said with a little smile.

"Oh" Bo-Gum replied simply. Taehyung raised his eyebrows slightly as he was confused at how Bo-Gum looked like he was calculating something in his head. The lesson continued onwards with the two not speaking. Soon enough the class had ended.

"Hey Taehyung." Bo-Gum called to which the younger faced him. "How about I show you around and we could be friends?. You can meet some of my other friends too" he offered.

"Oh really!" Taehyung grinned. "That would be amazing. Thank you!"

"Sure. Come on!" Bo-Gum pulled Taehyung up and out of the classroom to show him around. In that moment, Taehyung knew that being here will change his life in what he would hope to be the better.

A/N: Hey all! Forgive me for my delayed updates I've just been really busy. Unfortunately my updates will be a little scattered and irregular because I am preparing to leave to go to University in the next few months so updating will be a little hard to do but I will try my best to whenever I can. I will still be on wattpad so feel free to comment or message me and I will get back to you when I can.

As I said at the beginning, the next few chapters will revolve around Taehyung's story before returning to the main plot hence why I have introduced someone into his backstory. Also this chapter may be a little dry and short as I'm a little out of it right now so hopefully I can return to my usual state so I apologise for that.
