In this story, No one has any girlfriends/boyfriends/wife/husbands. 
(Like Adam and Alesa aren't together. Same With Jess and Jason.) That's why they are falling for each other.

                          
Another thing is, they are in a new type of minecraft. It's like virtual reality. If it happens in the game, it looks real. It's like a simulator. You can feel pain and everything that happens to you in game.
