I find my breath hitching as this drunk guy pushes himself against me. I try to push him off but it's no use. "Don't fight it. You won't.." He's cut off by a fist to his face. And before my eyes, he falls to the ground. I cover my mouth in shock. "Val. Come here." He says. I look up at his dark hypnotizing eyes and walk over to him. He throws his sweater over me, pulling me close to his body making me feel safe as his warmth surrounds me.

"You're safe now." He says pulling me away from the now knocked out drunk guy who just tried to rape me. Once we're at a certain distance when he stops, we're under a light pole and he looks down at me. "Are you okay?" He asks holding onto my shoulders as he peers into my eyes. I nod as I feel myself in the verge of tears. "Yes.." I peep out. He frowns. "Dang it... I shouldn't have let you walk by yourself..." He says in a whisper as he tightens his sweater around my body.

I bite my lip, trying not to cry. "Its okay ... Tae.." My voice cracks and I can't help but brake down. His eyebrows knit together and he pulls me close into a tight embrace that I don't want to leave. I cry against his chest and he slowly pets my hair. I find myself wrapping my arms around him. I don't want to move, but I have to. Once I finish crying and shaking with fear, I let go of him and step back looking down at the floor, my bangs covering my face.

"I'll be going now." I say walking towards my dorm building. "Hey.. No.. I'm not letting you go by yourself. Nope not again." He says following after me. I don't look at him.

Is it weird that I feel this certain way around him? Like I feel... Safe and secure. But.. I barely met this guy, I can't feel that way... Can I?

We make it to my dorm building and I finally turn towards him. He has a concerned look on his face. "Are you... Mad at me?" He asks. I'm completely surprised by his question. "No.. Why would I be?" He looks away from me and smacks his hand on the back of his neck. "Because I hugged you.. The way you acted after." He says. I bite my bottom lip. I somehow have the courage to walk up to him. I take his hand off of his neck and make him look down at me.

How I'm doing this without craping myself? I have no idea.

His eyes, those brown eyes, peer into mine intensely making my heart pound, so fast I'm scared it'll leap out of my chest. I still have my hand on his cheek, and my other holding onto his wrist. "No... Don't think that way.. I wanted you to." I say somehow. I don't know how long we just stood there, staring into each others eyes. I didn't really notice that he was inching closer to me. But my phone interrupts the moment.

"Hello?" I answer taking a step away from him. "VAL! oh my gosh Val you're still a live! I've been texting and calling you all night! Are you okay?" I chuckle. "Oh. You actually noticed that I didn't make it back yet." I say. I hear her let out a breath. "Well. I did finish my binge watching okay? And I noticed you weren't there... But are you okay?" She asks. I look up at Tae whose still looking at me and can't help but grin. "Yeah.. I'm completely fine." I say.

"Can you come back now? I feel lonely." I laugh. "Okay. I will." ,"okay." She says and hangs up. "Who was that?" Tae asks. I look up at him as I stuff my phone I'm my purse. "My boyfriend." His eyes grow big. I can't help but laugh. "I'm kidding. It's my room mate Lauren. She was just worried about me." I say. His expression relaxes and he chuckles a bit. Its quiet for a while, but I don't really mind because I like his company.

Even if he's not saying much, or any thing at all. I finally take a deep breath. "I just wanted to say thank you for helping me out tonight. Some pretty bad things would have happened if you didn't come around. It really does mean a lot Tae... More than you know." A sweet smile appears on his face. "Its my pleasure really.. I shouldn't have let you go by yourself." He says. "I'm stubborn that's why." I say. He chuckles. "Well. Now I know." He says.
