Distraction (Theo/Brett)

HERE IS PART TWO FOR 'YOU CAN'T (THEO)' HOPE YOU LIKE IT:-)

C'mon (Y/N), just ask him! It's one simple question. But what if he laughs or he's really hurt because Theo and I only just broke up. It's one simple little "Would you like to go out sometime?" How hard can it be?

I didn't realise I'd taken so long thinking until Brett broke me out of my thoughts. "(Y/N)? Hello? You still there?" He chuckled, I shook my head slightly, trying to clear it, "Y-yeah I'm still here" I smiled slightly.

"Hey, if you want a minute to get your question out, can I ask you something?" He asked me, I smiled "You just did, but sure" I giggled.

I could practically hear him shaking his head. "I was wondering if maybe, and I know it's pretty soon after you and Theo, but, I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go out for a coffee or something? I mean, you don't have to but, it-" Brett started, "I'd love to Brett" I said quickly, cutting him off before he babbled on.

"R-really?" He stuttered and I nodded, quickly realising he can't see me, "Yes" I said, finalising my decision.

"So um, what are you doing right now?" He asked me, I smiled slightly, despite myself, "Nothing" I answered him, knowing where he was taking this question.

"Would you like to accompany me to grab a coffee and go for a walk in the park?" He asked me. I nodded rapidly, knowing he couldn't see me, "I'll take your silence as a nod?" He chuckled into the phone.

God damn. He knows me too well. "YES" I said quickly and a little loud, "Sorry" I apologized when I realised how loud I was, "Yes" I said again, this time using my indoor voice.

"Great, I'll see you in ten minutes (Y/N)" He said, I smiled slightly to myself, well, at least I got my distraction.

I just finished running a brush through my hair when there was a knock at my door. I heard my dad's muffled yell that he'll get the door, I quickly grabbed my bag and slipped my shoes on before running down the stairs, tripping on the last step.

God, there is so much Stiles in me... I thought to myself as I felt arms wrap around me, keeping me upright and I internally facepalmed myself. I stood up straight and saw Brett, who still had his hand on my waist, I guess making sure I wasn't gonna fall again.

"Thanks" I smiled shyly, "No problem" he smirked as he looked down at me, "Ready?" He asked as he motioned to the door, that my dad was still holding open, watching the two of us closely.

I nodded, "As I'll ever be" I said as Brett allowed me to walk out first. I thanked him, and stepped out, standing beside Stiles' jeep on the driveway as I waited.

"Let's go" Brett smiled as he held his arm out towards me, smiling, I linked my arm with his, resting my hand gently on his forearm.

*time skip because it is so hot today like god damn. Fuckin heat wave*

I knew I would have fun with Brett, because we always do, but I never thought I would have that much fun.

We laughed, we talked, we joked, we did everything we would normally do as friends, but this time it felt different. It didn't feel like I was just going out with my friend, it felt more.. Intimate.

"Thank you for the coffee, I- I had fun" I smiled as Brett was walking me home, like a true gentleman. "You're very welcome, I'm glad you had fun, I enjoyed myself, granted a little more than I thought I would, but-" he was cut off by someone yelling.

I looked around and saw my dad standing at the front door, in his pyjamas yelling at me and Brett. Looking at the time I found it was 10pm. How the hell we managed to stay out this late is beyond me.

"Uhh well I better get in before my dad decides to use his gun... I'll see you tomorrow at school" I leaned up on my tippy toes and placed a quick kiss on Brett's cheek before running inside, avoiding my dad's scrutinising glare.

Tomorrow should be fun...

ANYWHO, I HOPE THAT YOU LIKE THIS BIT, I WAS PLANNING ON WRITING ONE MORE PART, BECAUSE HONESTLY THIS IS QUITE FUN HEHEHH. IF YOU WANT ME TO WRITE PART THREE, DO TELL.
