I never realized how screwed up teenagers were.
I don't know when I realized.
Maybe it was when my friend started looking at thinspo pictures.
Or my friend told me she had an eating disorder.
Or this girl said she was no longer three months clean.
Maybe when the happiest girl I knew told me that she did musical theatre to practice acting happy in the real world.
When this kid I knew started to drink his sorrows away.
When my roommate told me that more people are insecure than secure.
But I think most of all, it was when I realized that I was just like the rest of them.
