You wanted honesty?
Ha!
You wouldn't want to hear
the truth of this life I lead.
I won't bow down to a God I can't see,
and I won't pledge my life
to this country of the "free".
You ignore my pathetic pleas.
You wanted a normal daughter?
So sorry I couldn't provide.
But I'm okay with who I am.
I'll never have to hide.
There you go,
the brutal honest truth.
Tell me I'm wrong,
it'll always feel right.
