in this universe, hades is a woman.
she is darkness and she is beauty
the sobs of a black veiled mourner
beside a funeral pyre. ichor,
spilled out on the ground.
her body a warzone - the hounds of hell howl,in this universe, persephone is not kidnapped.
she sneaks away from her mother and
when the ground opens up and the air rushes from her lungs
she smiles against the soft breast of her 'captor'.
demeter weeps and sobs and cries of a dark eyed sinner,
but deep underground persephone smiles [she is also a sinner]in this universe, they feast on pomegranate seeds.
red like blood the juice drips down her neck
hades licks it off and persephone smiles.
the flowers growing beneath her feet are
those that only bloom at night. here in the
depth of night, on the edge of forever,
a throne equal beside her sharp and soft lover,
persephone is herself.
