"Higher beh di ko makita yung face mo." - narinig kong sabi ni Jaycee through my earphones.
Hindi ko na kasi namalayan na binaba ko na yung cam ng phone ko dahil pinapikit ako ng make-up artist ko.
"Ay. Sorry. Oh eto kitams mo na?" - I brought my phone higher with my eyes still closed.
"Yan. Much better." - She said.
I could picture her nodding her head at this.
"Oh ano? natanggap mo na ba yung pinadala ko?" - I asked her habang nilalagayan ako ng eye shadow ng make-up artist ko.
"Ha? may pinadala ka? Wala naman akong natanggap." - sabi niya.
"Wha---" - magrereact sana ako pero naalala ko na baka madamage tong make-up ko. May catwalk pa naman ako mamaya. Kaya pinahinto at pinaalis ko muna yung tagamake-up ko.
Nang nakalabas na siya, I turned to Jaycee. "What do you mean wala?"
"Wala. As in. Wala talagang package gurl." - she shrugged.
"What da heck? Eh ang tagal ko nang pinadala yun ah! Ba't ganun?!" - I reached to scratch my head in frustration pero naalala ko na nakatali na pala buhok ko, so I stopped mid-air sighed heavily.
"Chill lang! Baka na delay lang. Alam mo na." - she said to make me calm down.
I leaned on my chair and sighed again. "Excited pa naman akong makita mo yung nasa loob nun." - I pouted.
"Bakit? Ano bang nasa loob?" - she asked out of curiosity.
"Surprise nga eh kaya excited ako kaso epal yang 'delay-delay' na yan." - I said.
"Surprise? Anong surprise? May surprise?" - sunod sunod niyang tinanong.
Shet. Now I effin' spoiled it. Juuust great.
I regretted saying those words and didn't respond to her. Which in tern, made her even more curious.
"Anong surprise ba yan ha Mai? Sige na sabihin mo na! You know I hate it when you keep something from me. " - she pouted and gave me her 'tell-me-or-I'll-throw-a-tantrum' look.
Damn this girl.
"Well......" - I dragged on and she leaned closer to the screen. "Surprise nga siya eh kaya hindi ko pwedeng sabihin. ha-ha." - sabi ko sabay tawa.
She growled at me but I just laughed.
May sasabihin sana siya pero she was stopped by the doorbell.
Lumingon siya sa direksyon ng pinto and looked back at me. "I shall return." - she said before disappearing on the screen.
I heard her footsteps heading towards the door through my earphones.
She didn't scream out 'Who's there?!' while walking. Huh. Meaning she's still not sane.
