Poem #95// Storm

59 4 5

The storm was approaching
As the clouds rolled in.
The wind whipped her hair,
But she still stood there,
Without a care.

It started as a light drizzle
As the clouds turned angry.
Then it started to downpour,
But she still stood there,
The tears were there.

She watched the flash of lightning
And heard the thunder cry.
The static was drawing nearer,
Her vision wasn't any clearer,
But she stayed.

She waited out the storm
As the fields continued to flood.
If it were to rain any longer
She thought there would be blood,
But she stayed.

The rain steadied out
And the flowers started to bloom.
She thought for a moment
That her happiness could resume,
It did.

The clouds went away
And the sky turned blue.
It was for the reason
None other than you.
