Poem #28// Haunting

I'm screaming loudly
With my silent pleas.
These long hours at night
Are haunting me.

My eyes are saying words
That my heart cannot.
You twisted my heart into a knot.

I'm reaching out
With my hollow soul.
I feel like I'm dancing
On hot coals.

My mind feels brittle.
My soul is cracked.
How is it possible
That I'm still intact?

I'm slowly drowning
In every tear I shed.
Maybe it would be better for everyone
If I were nothing but dead...
