Poem #20// Pulse

167 10 2

Fake a smile,
Force a laugh,
Slide a blade across your calf.

Hide the pain,
Wipe your tears,
You may not make it another year.

Swim in thoughts,
Drown in the deep,
Some secrets are better off to keep.

Stay up late,
Do not sleep,
No one's going to hear you weep.

Force a smile,
Fake a laugh,
Get lost in your bubble bath.

Your head won't surface,
Your pulse goes still,
No one's going to hear your silent shrills.

Bubbles are showing,
Skin is white, cold, and it's glowing,
The pain is no longer ongoing.

Death's cold stare,
Hell's warm embrace,
Life's easy to lose,
Hard to chase.

All the tears,
All the pain,
It built up over the years.

Now you're gone,
Your memory's fading,
No one ever saw your warning...
