"Lightning. Come to the back with me. I'll patch you up. Kobra... you bring Party his daughter." Jet said as we arrived at D's. We both nodded.

"Hey Bandit..." I leaned back a bit to look at her. "You wanna walk or should I carry you?" I asked. She looked around and buried her face back in my shoulder. "Okay." I laughed. She was still scared. Light and Jet got out of the car and went inside. I could hear yelling and loud sobs from inside.

Well, here we go.

"Lightning is wounded." Jet said calmly.

"Where is my brother?" Party screamed. "First my daughter and now my brother?" his eyes were extremely red and puffy and his face wet from his tears. I stepped inside quietly with Bandit clinging onto me.

"No..." I said calmly. Party spun around quickly to look at me. The moment he saw me with his little girl he completely broke. He fell to the floor and cried.

"Oh my god..." he cried. I went over and kneeled down beside him.

"Bandit..." I whispered in her ear. "It's Daddy." She let go slowly and turned to look at the mess that was Party.

"Da-addy-y-y..." she started crying again and basically jumped on him. Party held her tight. I was scared he might squish her. They sobbed into each other and I was fighting tears too. I got up and looked at Ghoul who was standing a bit to the side, also tears in his eyes. I patted his shoulder and signaled for him to come with me and leave the two alone.

We went to the back where D and Jet were. D asked a bunch of questions while Jet was patching up Light. She was lying on the bed in pain. I went to her, grabbed her hand and kissed her forehead.

"Okay... what ahout Korse?" D asked.

"Dead." I grumbled.

"What really?" Ghoul asked.

"Yes." I nodded.

"Well I must say. I'm proud of you all. This was a successful mission. Now try to rest a bit." D nodded at us and rolled out of the room.

"Kobra. Any injuries?" Jet asked.

"I was grazed by a few rays, but no actual hit no." I answered.

"Good. I should still check on those though." Jet was done with Light and she sighed a bit.

"Is the pain bad?" I asked her.

"I'm okay, Kobra. Really." she said and kissed me.

"Okay." I said. I let Jet do his thing and just watched Light and Ghoul talking. I didn't listen. I was kinda zoning out. I just looked at them.

We were back at the cabin. Jet, Light, Ghoul and I were sitting in the living room while Party and Bandit were sleeping already. It was an emotionally exhausting day for the both of them.

"So it's finally over?" Light asked.

"I think so. Korse is dead." I nodded.

"Thank god." Light sighed.

"We should probably stay away from the city for a bit longer though. Let things calm down a bit." Jet commented.

"What about the pills though. They are still produced, aren't they?" I asked.

"Everything was controlled from above. Without Korse there is nobody to tell the people what to do, giving them no reason to produce the pills. As soon as they wear off, people should realize what happened. The pills make you emotionless and willing to obey rules and orders, they don't influence your memory though. I dont know how long it will take for them to run out of pills and them to wear off, but I think in a month or two the situation should have calmed down." Jet said. "However, it shouldn't be as dangerous for us the get in and out of Battery City now."

"I can't believe this will all end soon." Ghoul sighed. "To be honest with you... I kinda like it out here. Yes it's dangerous and yes death is around the corner at any time, but... I still like it here."

"I know what you mean. I'm excited for a normal life though." Jet said. I didn't know how I felt. Mom and Dad were in Battery City and I had to see them again, but other than that there was nothing that would have made me want to stay there.

"I don't think things will ever be 'normal' again. At least not for me." Light shook her head slowly, looking at the wall. I put my arm around her shoulder and pulled her close to me.

"It'll be fine." I kissed her head. She nuzzled into my chest and shut her eyes.

"I think I'm gonna go to bed." Jet said and stood up.

"Yea. Good idea." Ghoul stood up as well.

"I think we'll stay here for a bit." I said. Ghoul and Jet nodded and went to their rooms. Light and I sat on the couch cuddled up to each other.

"I was so worried about you being alone in that B.L.I. building." I whispered.

"I know." she sighed. "But I'm okay."

"You're shot... again." I said.

"Yea, but I already had that before going into the building. So even if you had been with me the whole time I'd be shot." she said.

"I just don't like seeing you in pain." I stroked her arm.

"It was worth it though. Seeing Party with his daughter... I would never have thought he had a wife, let alone a daughter." she said. "You don't though, do you?" she asked me.

"No..." I shook my head. "I don't. Just Mom and Dad. You?" I asked. It was weird to talk about our old lives. But now that we were so close to going back again it was only logical to face it.

"Mom... my brothers." she said.

"I am so sorry about your dad." I said.

"Yea... me too." she whispered. "Will you be a part of my life in Batt City?" she asked. Was I? I didn't know. I didn't really want to go back there. I was thinking of staying in the desert. Of course under better conditions, but the city is just not my thing.

"I don't know..." I said. Light tensed and pulled back a bit.

"Oh..." was all she said.

"Wait no... that came out wrong." I tried.

"It's okay, Kobra. I understand." she whispered, hurt. She stood up and made her way into the bedroom.

"No Light, I-" and the door closed behind her. ".... love you."
