C H A P T E R - T W O

Song- Perf, Baby Ariel.

This is the dream-like feeling most of us experience when we have a crush. Just looking at our crush can make us smile and then when they go on to do things like laugh and smile themselves, our happiness only intensifies.

When we were busy talking among ourselves during that zero hour, about anything and everything, we were not expecting to have any teacher walking inside the classroom. Let alone our beloved principal.

The room suddenly went silent.

Shushant Singh. Our beloved principal, like I said before.

P.S. with highly recommended sarcasm.

Shushant Singh.

The living example of ruling machine on two feet. Special features- strictly annoying, overrated version of Hitler, grumpy bear. Even at the age of forty-two he's still very active and... strict. He's tall, at least six feet tall, and not like those bulky old men with a round tummy. In fact, he's actually very fit and... grumpy.

"Good morning, Students. I hope you all had a very nice vacation", greeted our beloved principal in his stern and cold voice.

"Yaar... yeh khadus yahan kya kar raha hai yaar itni subah subah? (Dude... why this Hitler is here at this early in the morning?)", I muttered to Aliya as we all stood to greet him good morning, in due respect.

"I have no idea. But wait kar, thore time mai khud pata chal jana hai. (wait for sometimes, we will get to know soon)", she replied, eyes still at front.

"Yeah... but I just hope woh phir se koi bomb phod kar na chala jaye last time ki tarah. (Yeah.. But I just hope he is not going to drop any new bomb over our heads, like he did last time.)", I said in same manner as her while we took our seats.

I remember, when he thought he should pay a visit our class last time, it was to announce the extra classes which were compulsory for us to attend after school hours.

Two long hours of extra torture.

Well... It's nothing like I am not found of studies. In fact, I am one of the top five rankers of my class. But still, extra classes are not my thing.

I would rather prefer to lay in my comfortable bed, enjoying my nap, than sitting in those boring extra classes.

"So my lovely students, I am here to congratulate you all for the price we won this year as well. Inter School National Level Quiz Competition", the principal announced proudly.

Interesting. Now this is really interesting. I had no idea we won this year as well. And how?

"Tumhe pata hai yeh princi kis competition ki baat kar raha hai, and yeh hua kab? (Do you have any idea about which competition our principal is talking about? And when did it happened?)", I again asked Aliya in almost whispering tone, leaning against her side.

"Oh yes, I have heard this in the morning only, during assembly. Some boys were talking among themselves that our school won some competition again", Aliya replied in same low tone.

"But how come we won and I don't even know anything about this quiz thing", I asked again, thoughtful this time because this is really new for me, to not know anything related to any school activities as I always use to keep records of them.
