Chapter 43: Dreams

"Soo... bakit dito?" I can vaguely remember this place. Madilim kasi nung una niya kong dalhin dito, hough medyo magdidilim na rin ngayon. 

"I thought you don't have a good memory?"

"Hindi naman lahat nakakalimutan ko eh. Yung mga mahahalaga hindi ko makakalimutan yun."

Ngumiti siya then he stopped the car. Bumaba siya and he opened the door for me. Habang lumalabas ako he said, "I was rude to you before nung dinala kita dito."

"No honey. You're not rude..." I touched his cheek. "You're very rude."

Tumawa siya at humawak sa kamay ko. "I'm sorry then. Your memory about this place is about to change." sabi niya habang pilyo ng ngiti niya.

Then we're here again at the open field. "This is the place where you ask me to be your girlfriend. sabi ko as if reminiscing.

And he just smiled at me. "So my princess, are you ready?"

Umiling ako. When will you be ready for the unknown? Guess the answer is never. He holds me by the hand tapos hinatak niya ko.

 "Teka! Hindi nga ready di ba? Tss."

"You'll be ready once we get there."

There? Where? I thought we're here/there already. Weeeepeeeek! Ang gulo kausap ng lalaking to talaga.

Nakahabol ako sa pace ng lakad niya. We're walking side by side now, holding hands and he's swaying it. Tinignan ko yung kamay namin. Kasunod yung mukha niya naman. He seems excited. I never saw him this giddy.

"You're way too excited honey." pansin ko.

"I don't know. I just...." Nilingon niya ko at yung tingin niya is the look that never fails to melt my heart. "...love that we're together and holding hands and I'm swaying it... and..." sabi niya playfully.

This time I felt like I'm the mature one in this relationship. He's showing me his other side. And I love him this way too.

I love him when he's mad. I love him when he's serious. I love him when he's playful. I love him any which way.

I started to sway my hands with him. "So... what is this that you're very exited about huh?"

Tinignan niya ko and his eyes are questioning. Napakunot tuloy yung noo ko.

"Now who's exited?" sabi niya. At nang-asar pa talaga. Tss.

Naglakad pa kami. And I start to notice, this place is beautiful. Yung hangin, hindi nakakatakot i-inhale. Yung mga puno, puno talaga sila. Tsaka ang lawak ng lupain na nilalakaran namin ah. Medyo natatakot din ako. Baka bigla na lang kami barilin ng may-ari ng farm na to. Tss. Di ba ganun sa mga probinisya? Yun sabi ng lola ko dati eh.

Biglang binitawan ni Dominic yung kamay ko at pumunta siya sa likod ko. "Anong ginagawa mo?" tanong ko as he covered my eyes. "Dominic wala akong makita." Hinawakan ko yung kamay niya na nakatapkip nga sa mata ko. Huminto na kami sa paglalakad.

"Do you trust me princess?" sa tono ng boses niya. He's back to the serious. The mature one again. MOOD SWINGS! I miss his mood swings.

"I..."

"Do you trust me?" tanong niya ulit.

"Yes."

"Okay then follow my instructions."

Tumango ako.

"Just walk straight." he said. Sinunod ko naman instructions niya. Sinubukan ko lahat ng makakaya ko pero heto lang ang nangyari.
