Last time

It was branded into my memory-
The feel of your sweatshirt,
The loveliness of your fragrance-
a smell I can only describe as you-
the way I felt your breath on my hair.

The moment was getting too long,
not for me, but I supposed for you,
so I pulled away from your loving arms,
and looked in your eyes one last time.

It wasn't nearly long enough,
and immediately I craved for you.
I craved the safety of your arms,
and the comfort of your words
and the bliss of your company.

I fell back in to you again-one last time-
Telling myself that I'll leave soon,
I'll turn around and walk away,
I'll cut you off like a band aid.

I finally left your broken eyes,
after a moment that lasted forever,
but was gone all too son, and so was I,
but you never left me-not even a little bit.
