♠ peter's point of view ♠

"What in the hell are you doing here?" I turned around and saw my father standing there. Right in front of me. Something wasn't right. I don't know what he was doing here but there was everything inside of me that wasn't sitting right. My father was grinning ear to ear though, holding a pistol to my skull.

Sorry for my language kiddos but you would've said the same if you saw your father, whom you haven't seen in ages I may add, standing in front of you. He didn't say anything. His grey hair was falling into his face, sweat beading down his face. He had on a black zip up jacket and had on black gloves. If I didn't know better, he looked like crap. His eyes had bags under them, his face was more pale and his hair looked like he hadn't washed it in weeks. I frowned and went to move but he clicked back that hammer. I nearly peed myself right there.

"Don't move, Peter," He swore. I am just bleeping it out for all you readers who don't like them words, just saying. Anyways, he stood there, he looked like he wanted to tell me something but he just stood there with his mouth agaped.

"What are you doing in here?" He finally asked, "Have you been hanging out with that Roach kid again?"

Yes, he didn't like Roach. Actually, no one did. But I thought my father was dead? Didn't Ruby kill him?! Someone needs to explain something because I watched him being buried six feet deep. I pushed gravel on top of his casket. He is supposed to be dead! This is what surprising me the most about all of this. My father was standing there, living and breathing. I didn't know what else to say other than what was on my mind. Which of course was a bunch of cursing and punching. Then again, he has the barrel of a gun pushed up against my forehead and it ready to fire.

"Answer me!" He screamed, backing me up to the wall. I stumbled and things began to fall. The laptop fell on the floor too. My father looked down to it, anger in his eyes, and looked back at me. He again, started to yell at me. He moved the gun away from me and went to pick up the laptop and that's when I ran. I turned the corner and bolted up the stairs. My father started to scream at me and run after me. He was firing bullets at me!

"Get back here! Peter!"

Finally, I reached the doors. I quickly came up and quickly shut them. I heard the bullets ricocheted off of them and nearly hitting my head. Out of panic, I quickly tried to find something to put through the handles so that my evil dad couldn't get through. Why in the heck was he firing at me?! I was about to put the rod into the door handles but they were opened up. My father barged in and made me fly down onto the floor. His face was beat red and he looked super mad. More than the time when Ruby and I were suspended and in juvie once.

"What are you doing with this?" He asked me. I was lost for words, sitting there catching my breath and had tears in my eyes. It was a mixture of anger and something else. I didn't know, maybe it was fear because he, again, had a gun pointing to my head. He cocked the hammer back.

"What are you doing?!" I found myself screaming, "I didn't do anything! You're not even supposed to be alive!"

"Shut up Peter!" My father yelled through his gritted teeth. He looked around and then back at me.

"Where is Roach?" He asked sternly of me.

"I don't know! Jail!" I said rather quickly. I don't think Roach would be in jail anymore since he said he was going to be out in a week. There was that and I checked the charges in the court system. Said he had a hearing a few days ago and they had dropped everything. He was out but I have no idea what else had happened. My father though, swore under his breath. He turned to me and glared at me.

"You're coming with me boy," he says sternly. Of course I am trying to run away but he fires the gun at me. It just hardly missing my leg. I screamed in pain and that's when my father knelt down in front of me, lifted his pistol up high and hit my head hard. I felt the pain but then I just blacked out. There was nothing anymore but darkness.

There was something off about this place. It was all white and smelled weird. There was scientists everywhere. There was something on the back of my neck was raising and I felt my gut twist up. Something was wrong and I have a feeling that I was going to figure it out pretty soon. Mr. Smith just smiled at me and put his arm around my shoulders.

"This, dear boy, is your new home." He smiles at me. I looked around and saw chemistry sets everywhere. There was people walking into an area with hazmat suits on and that's when I heard screaming. I looked at Smith with shock and he shook his head.

"Don't worry," He said calmly, "It's nothing but a simple test."

"Is that a human?" I asked him. He nodded.

"Of course,"  He said, as if there wasn't a problem at all about it, he continued, "He is our subject but don't worry. We take these men off of the green mile's hands. They were going to die anyway." He said with a shrug.

Something really wasn't going right here. Smith took me upstairs into a room where there was a bunch of computers and two other geeks. One of them had the taped glasses and had a big nose and was scrawny. The other one was a short fat kid that had a cocky attitude. I am not looking forward to working with these two. Why do they need us anyways? I frowned and looked to Smith. He walked in front of me and smiled.

"This is Gig and Trig. They are brothers here to help us. Gig," The tall kid looked at me, "Trig," The snobby rich kid looked at me with a candy bar in his hand, "This is Roach. He is going to help you program this facility." He explained to me. So I am here to program this place? I wanted to know what they were doing down there but before I could ask anything, Mr. Smith was gone. I frowned and turned to Trig and Gig.

"Welcome to the team," Gig smiled to me. He seemed like a nice guy but when he offered out his hand, the short fatty butted in.

"We were doing perfectly fine and now we need some, inmate to help us?" He shot to me. I rolled my eyes, this kid is going to be a handful, isn't he?

"Oh shut up, Trig. Roach, do you know what this place is?" Trig asked me. I shook my head and looked around the room. It looked to be like a big...brain. There was computer monitors everywhere, there was cameras and alarms. There was also something in that room with the people in hazmat suits. I went to the keyboard and typed in some simple keys and it zoomed in on the inmate that was struggling on the bed.

"Sadly there isn't sound. These security cameras don't have it and I can't figure out how to get sound."

"The only way is to sneak a bug inside, easier said than done," I explained. Trig stood behind me and had his arms across his chest. He sighs.

"Gig and I have been looking inside this room and still can't figure out what is going on. I mean, what are they trying?"

"We think that this is a government propaganda," chubby said and stuffed his face with that candy bar again, "They won't say anything and everyone is like a dang lab rat down here. I hear that if you miss behave, they put a chip in your neck."

When I heard that, bile came up to my throat. This wasn't right, nothing about this place was right. I reached into my pocket and saw several messages from Ruby and Kaylee. I asked the brothers to excuse me and I went to the other side of the room. I bit my lip, missing the girls. Ruby seemed like a good friend and Kaylee, well I was astonished that she was talking to me.

I am fine, miss both of you. I'll keep you posted --Roach

I hit send and shoved my phone into my pocket. I can't keep this a secret from them but for now, I am going to have to. Something though, wasn't right about this place and I am going to figure it out. One way or another.
