I sat there staring at his text. Ruby is his sister?!! I didn't know that!! Why didn't she tell me?!

What?! For real?? Wow. I didn't know that :-/ -Kaylee

Next I texted my friend, demanding the answer to why she didn't tell me my crush her own brother.

Uh...you didn't tell me who you liked, just that you liked someone, and hehe, awww, you like my big brother :) -Ruby

Shut up -.- He's just so darn cute!! I mean dem eyes 0.0 -Kaylee

*rolls on the ground laughing* You're so funny. He is pretty sexy though ;-) -Ruby

I grin triumphantly, waiting for her to reply until Abby storms in my room.

"You little wench. You embarrassed my bff." She growls.

"Ruby was the one who screamed in her ear." I reply nervously.

"So? It was your stupid friend." She glares at me. "Now I'm going to humiliate you at school."

"You already do. Everyday." I shrug. She smirks.

"Not nearly as bad as this is gonna be."

"Your moronic friend already tore up my comic book! Can't you guys find some other poor fool to torment?!" I exclaim.

"Is everything alright girls?" Mom asks, popping her head in the door.

"Everything's fine mother." Abby smiles sweetly, battering her eyelashes adorably. Mom smiles back.

"Ok, dinner is almost ready so come down in fifteen minutes."

"Ok." We reply in unison. She grins and sighs.

"Aw, I'm so glad you two are friends." She states before heading back downstairs. I actually laugh. I know, weird right? I couldn't help it. Mom is so oblivious is kinda funny.

"What are you laughing at?" Abby snaps.

"Nothing."

Ruby's Point Of View

I sat there, wondering if I really did. I mean yeah....he was handsome and sweet. But he kind of seemed like a troublemaker. It's not I wasn't either for a while, so what's holding me back?

W...well I guess *scratches back of head* -Ruby

She hadn't responded in a while, so I got up and headed into the kitchen to see what to do for dinner when I saw Peter.

"Hey big bro." I smiled, filling a glass with water from the fridge. 

"Hey." He replies, opening the pantry before his phone vibrates. He picks it up, reads the text and smiles a little.

"So....who ya textin'?" I grin slyly, peeking over his shoulder. He hides the screen of his phone against his chest and glances at me.

"No one...."

"Bull!! Who is she?!" I giggle. "A certain person named....oh I dunno....Kaylee maybe?"
