He was taller than any male she had seen and clothes which he had adorned didn't hide his muscles.  He exuded dominance with powerful and proud shoulder with a broad expanse of chest.  His thighs and perfectly shaped legs showed his strength. His presence was overwhelming. She just couldn't find any words. The most beautiful thing about him was his eyes. It hypnotised her and drew her in. His gaze had trapped her.  He took a step towards her and her breathing hitched. She inhaled the mouthwatering scent of the earthy fragrance with a mixture of musk of his perfume. It clouded her senses. April had never seen anyone like him. His stance held confidence and had a very dominating aura around him.

"Who are you?" April questioned, looking awestruck.

"I am Gabriel," He replied.

"Gabriel...

April tested his name on her tongue, and it melted just like butter. She didn't know why but she was attracted to him. She looked at his clothes, and he was dressed in high-waisted pants and beige coloured shirt which had long and loose sleeves.

"Where am I? Who are you?" April questioned as she stood up from the bed but all of a sudden she felt dizzy and was about to fall on the ground. She waited for the impact, expected to smash her head into the ground but it never happened, the fall never came.

She found herself in the arms of Gabriel and herself dangling in the mid air. There was something about being in his arms brought a sense of tranquillity to her.

"Where am I?" April questioned him whilst she was still in his arms.

"Vučja zemlja," Gabriel answered not wanting to let his female go. He had spent four centuries without her, but now it was impossible for his beast to stay away from her even for four moments.

"What is that?" April questioned as the closeness of this man created havoc of emotions inside her which she had never experienced before.

"Wolf's country," Gabriel answered her in a whisper, and his breath was tickling on April's face. He was too close for April's liking. From the V of his tunic, April caught a glimpse of his inked skin. Her insides turned into a mush as there was only so much beauty a girl can take. April gulped her salvia as her throat ran dry at the sight of the man in front of him.  April nodded her head and then shook it frantically to say no. Her fingers were itching to touch the intricate design of his tattoo, It was exquisite, but she could not recognise the language it was written. She wanted to feel the tattoo with her fingers.

"What is happening to me?" April questioned herself.

"It is not real. Vampires and Werewolves don't exist," April said in defeated tone. She thought it was some dream. April argued with him, her voice came out bit hoarse. Gabriel let his mate go from his embrace and filled a flask with water and handed it to her. April drank it greedily; she didn't realise she was thirsty. She took one more glass as her throat  still felt parched.

" You need to rest," He spoke in a gruff tone, running his hand through his hair, but April didn't pay heed to his words and stood up from the bed for the second time and a wave of fatigue and dizziness rolled over her.  Gabriel caught her before she would fall and break her neck. The arrow by which April was shot contained venom to paralyse any shapeshifter, but April was human, so it leads to weakening of her body. Gabriel had to give his blood for her to fight with venom.

"Stay in the bed, woman," Gabriel spoke in a clipped tone and just like that she froze in his arms. It was like a shock to her as she did what exactly he wanted too. It was as if her brain refused to function. His grip tightened around her when she tried to struggle, and she let out a whimper. His chest rumbled and snarled like voice came out of his throat.  April felt an undeniable pull towards this man whom she met a few moments ago. April looked up at the man to find him staring at her. She tried to wiggle out from his grasp, and his eyes darkened.

" Let me go," April whispered.

At April's words, Gabriel's growl grew louder, and April out of fear clutched his shirt. By this time, Gabriel's control on his beast was gone, and his grip tightened further more. She tried flail in his grip as the pain was becoming unbearable.

"You are hurting me," April moaned in pain.

April's painful grunt was Gabriel's undoing. Kronus could not believe that he was the cause of his mate's pain. He picked her up and placed her on the bed. Her wounds were still fresh. She needed rest so that she could heal.

" I want to go home," April mumbled.

"What?" Gabriel turned his head so fast that April was worried that he didn't get whiplash.

"I am searching my parents, I want to go home," April spoke like a broken record.

"You can't leave," He was talking gruffly.

"And why can't I?" April folded her handed across her chest and narrowed her eyes at him. April lifted her weak self and stuck the chin in the air in defiance.

"Because I said so!" He shot back.

"Douche," She cursed him mentally.

April pursed her lips. She had never seen anyone like him. It was starting to get on her nerves.

" Why do you think I will listen to you?" April replied sassily.

"Because I am the Alpha!" He replied rolling his eyes as if it was commonly known fact in the world.

"And?" April furrowed her eyebrows and tilted her head sideways in questioning manner.

" And you do as your Alpha says." Gabriel retorted.

April huffed in annoyance.

" Listen to me, very clearly, and when I mean very, I mean very very,

April dragged the last syllable of the word and stretched it a little bit to put emphasis on her point, "clearly, that you are no Alpha of mine, and you cannot order me around. I will do what I want, If I want to go from here, I sure as hell will go, and you will not stop me."

No Alpha would be able to take a jab like the one which was thrown by April in his direction. Needless to say that April had dug her own grave.

Gabriel's eyes turned murky. A storm brewing in his eyes. His chest rumbled with snarls and growl. The beast inside could not accept disobedience, especially from his mate.

"Gabriel, calm down," April heard all too familiar voice.
