"Well I guess I'll have to ask Emily to be my guest." He replied, sighing dramatically.

"Do it." I replied, putting my legs on his lap.

"I will." He replied, putting his hand on my knee.

I looked back down at my book before finishing the page and closing it.

I raised up, hearing three knocks at the front door.

Adam stood up before quietly walking over to the door.

"Shit, it's her." He hissed.

I quickly stood up before running over to the door.

"No! She won't leave!" He whispered, his hand wrapping around my wrist as I turned the door knob.

"She likes you, be nice to her." I laughed, before opening the door.

"Hey!" Emily exclaimed.

"Hi." I replied, forcing a smile.

"Is Adam in there?" She asked.

"Yup, come on in. I was just leaving." I replied.

I looked to Adam who was giving me death glares as Emily walked in.

"Hey, are you coming to the wedding tomorrow?" Emily asked right as I walked out on the porch.

"Maybe." I replied.

"You should, my brother wants to meet you." She replied, smiling.

I forced a smile before walking down the street.

-

"Why the hell did you do that?" Adam hissed, running up on the porch.

"Because it's funny." I laughed, standing up from the porch swing.

"She was there three freaking hours. She was either staring at me, asking me weird questions, trying to kiss me, or just being creepy." He replied, crossing his arms.

"Stop being mean, she likes you." I replied.

"I don't like her." He replied.

"Tell her that and maybe she'll leave you alone." I replied.

"I did, and she ran off crying." He replied.

"That's not my fault." I replied.

"Well, it kinda is. You let her in my house." He replied.

"Okay, I'm sorry." I replied.

"You owe me one." He stated.

"Like what?" I inquired.

"You let me take you on a date." He replied, smiling.
