The whole room fell silent and my breathing faltered slightly as I recognised the person who stalked out of the shadows.
"Harry?" Kate spoke up first, and I didn't need to turn to look at her to tell that she was already in fight mode.
"Why isn't he locked up?" Another guardian asked and I frowned.
"Why would he be locked up?" I asked to no one in particular and Kate frowned down at me, from her tense standing position. Then she threw an accusatory glare at Jameson, who stared back blankly.
With a roll of her eyes, Kate responded, "Harry was the one that attacked you the other day, when your arm was injured?" Kate's eyes flitted down to my arm, of which held a scab mark from where the person—Harry—had butchered it. With wide eyes, I began to comprehend this new information.
"What the hell are you doing?" Eden hissed from next to me but I couldn't take my eyes off Harry, disgust boiling up within me. I felt obliged to look at him, to anticipate any move he would make on me.
