Chapter 95 : Pregnacy

Start from the beginning

"Eh," She simply replied.

"I'm worried about you babe. You sure you're okay?" I asked.

"I feel a little weird but that's all. It occurred to me that I haven't had my-"

She stopped.

"What is it?" I asked.

She was in deep thought. Her eyes drifted to me and she moved her head to one side.

"No, I just thought of something," She replied.

"Like what?" I asked.

"Have you noticed how cute baby turtles are?"

What?

I furrowed my eyebrows. How is she coming up with this stuff?

"Uh, no I haven't," I replied.

"They're just so tiny and adorable," She continued.

We ended up having a one hour discussion on how cute small animals are.

Suddenly she jumped off the bed and rushed to the bathroom.

"Helen!"

She slammed the door shut and I hurried to the door.

I swung it open and Helen was hugging the toilet and hurling.

She coughed and flushed the toilet.

I helped her up and she went to the sink to brush her teeth. She gargled with mouthwash various times.

When she was finally done, I hugged her from behind.

I rested my chin on the top of her head.

"Are you okay, babe? Felling a little better?" I asked.

She nodded.

"I hate throwing up," She mumbled. "Hang on, I have to tell Luke something."

She left my grasp and I followed her into her room.

I heard the door close behind her and I sat on her bed.

Helen didn't seem to have a fever. Or sick at all.

After a couple of minutes she came back.

"I gotta pee," She told me and rushed past me and into the bathroom. She locked the door behind her and I waited.

I tapped my foot.

I started getting anxious so I paced the floor.

Something's up, I finally concluded.

But what?

Sudden sickness.

Cravings.

Mood swings.

No, I denied.

The bathroom door slowly opened.

Helen stood there.

She was looking at the ground.

"Calum."

"Yea? Babe, what's wrong?" I asked carefully.

"I have something to tell you."

"What is it?" I asked.

"I'm....i'm pregnant Calum."

My heart stopped.

I was speechless.

I didn't know how to react.

"What?" I asked releasing the breath I didn't know I was holding.

"I'm pregnant and you're the father." She said.

"How? I put a condom on when we had sex!" I ran my fingers through my hair.

"I don't know! It must have broke," She replied.

"Are you sure you're pregnant?" I asked.

"The damn test says so!" She yelled and threw the plastic tube at my chest.

It bounced off harmlessly and I picked it up off the ground.

Sure enough the small oval revealed positive.

"Helen what are we gonna do? I'm going on tour in a couple of days!" I said.

"I know Calum! I don't know what we're gonna do!" She collapsed on the ground and burst out crying. "I'm sorry, Calum. I'm sorry I ruined your life. No teenage boy should ever go through fatherhood at a young age. I'll just abort the baby," She said and sobbed,

"No, no don't do that." I kneeled in front of her. "I am one hundred percent against abortion. What you have in here," I put my hand on her stomach, "Is life. You're carrying life. It takes a boy to create a baby, but a man to raise one. Keep the baby. I want you to have my baby. Our baby."

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"I'm absolutely sure. I'll put the 'Hood' in 'fatherhood,'" I said and wiped her tears.

She giggled and I helped her up.

I kissed her.

I'm going to start a family with the girl I love.

I smiled at her. A true genuine smile.

"One more thing Calum," She said.

"Yea?" I asked.

"THIS IS ALL A PRANK!" She shouted.

Luke came into the room, he held his phone up. He was recording and laughing his ass off.

So was Helen.

"Wait what?" I asked.

"It's all a prank!" Luke and Helen said in unison.

"How? You threw up and the test read positive!" I said.

"Luke gave me a special pill that made me hurl. As for the test, we just borrowed the test from our Mom," Helen explained as she laughed.

"But you were crying," I said still in shock.

"It's called acting and crying on command. Also I thought about sad dog movies," She replied.

"So you're really not pregnant?" I asked.

"No! Calum you know I'm not good kids," She laughed.

"Told you it was a good prank," Luke spoke up.

Helen nodded.

"You're the mastermind behind this?" I asked and pointed to Luke.

He laughed and nodded.

"I can't believe this," I said.

"I'm sorry but Luke had a great idea and I was a part of it," Helen said.

I laughed, "You two got me good."

"I'm so glad I got this on video!" Luke said. "I'm going to show it to the guys." He ran downstairs.

I turned to Helen.

I glared at her but she only giggled.

"Can't believe you actually fell for it," She said.

"You made it sound believable!" I replied.

"I'm sorry Cal," She kissed my cheek.

"Yea, Yea," I said but hugged her.

"You know I love you Calum."

"I know, Helen. Love you too, but after that little prank, I don't trust you when it comes to certain things."

She laughed once more before kissing me.
