Chapter 92 : Meeting The Hoods

Start from the beginning

I rushed down the stairs.

"Mom, I'm going to Calum's house. Be back later," I said.

"Okay sweetie," Mom replied.

I opened the door and Calum stood in front of me.

He smiled, "Well Hello there, darling."

I snorted.

"Ready to go?" He asked.

"Yep," I replied and closed the door before locking it.

He intertwined his fingers with mine and led me to his car.

He opened the car door for me and I thanked him as I got in.

Calum smoothly slid in the driver's seat and started the engine.

I started tapping my foot when he drove off.

Man, was I nervous.

I'm usually very calm and collected when I meet my boyfriend's parents.

But this time it's different, I'm nervous as hell.

Thank God for deodorant.

"Are you okay?" Calum asked breaking my thoughts of worse case scenarios.

"Oh, yea. I'm good," I replied a little too quickly.

He chuckled, "You're nervous, huh?"

I looked over at him, "I am."

"Why?" He asked.

"What if I do or say something that offends them? What if I accidentally break something? What if I accidentally swear in front of them? What if they don't like me for fuck's sake?!"

I was panicking. My heart was pounding in my chest.

"You'll be fine. My parents are cool, just don't swear in front of them," Calum said.

I nodded and pulled my phone out to quickly text Adin.

Me: About to meet Calum's parents. Any words of encouragement?

Adin: Don't fuck up

Me: That's the best advice you've given me

Adin: I know. Just be yourself and compliment them!

Me; Got it. Thanks.

The car slowed to a stop.

I looked up and we were parked in front of Calum's house.

It was a bricked two-story house. The garden was green and flowers bloomed in the dirt. A few small trees decorated the lawn.

It looked like a house from a fairy tale.

So, perfect.

It was cute.

I looked at Calum, who was staring back at me.

"Are you ready to do this?" He asked.

I attempted to smile and nodded.

He laughed at me and kissed my cheek.

He opened the car door and got out. I was about to open mine, but Calum was already opening it for me.

I smiled and thanked him.

My heart was beating faster.

Calum took my hand and led me to the front door.

Inhale, exhale, I told myself, inhale, exhale.
